Tyckte om Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Facilities were all very clean and the hosts were very accommodating. The location was stunning and very close to nature with the forest next door.

Many thanks for your honest review which may be helpful to some travellers. As a working farm we do have cows, and during your stay a cow had lost her calf. As nature intended, she kept calling for her calf to no avail.

Our cows can moo a lot, but we are sorry they were a nuisance.

We are so glad you enjoyed the new shower block. You quite rightly pointed out there is no wifi, but I hope Pitchup made that clear in our description as we are in a poor wifi area.

We wish you happier camping in the future, hopefully not in the pouring rain you endured here. Thank you for visiting us, and we are sorry we shall not be seeing you again.

Tyckte om Loved the peacefulness of the site and the eco philosophy held here. Pat was very welcoming and informative. Would have liked to go for a walk through the woods as this sounded lovely but I didn't have time this trip. Would like to return.
Instructions for finding the site, and my pitch, were clear and easy to follow.

Tyckte om Liked the location- very peaceful. Woods easily accessible for dog walks and accessing local amenities. Owners very friendly and accommodating. Liked the composting toilets with additional access to Elsa’s if needed.

Tyckte inte om No facilities for general waste - we live in our van so unable to take home. We rely on campsites to provide all rubbish disposal which is the case in most places we visit. It wouldn’t put us off returning but only for a few nights.

We are, of course, disappointed that Pitchup did not make it clear that we are "A leave no trace" campsite to compliment our ethos and the campsite environment.

We are so pleased you enjoyed our beautiful dog walks and views..

Quiet with a super relaxing view over the valley.
Level pitch and clean eco toilet facilities.
Opportunity to buy farm produce (eggs, bacon etc). The bacon is delicious and possibly the best tasting we’ve ever had.
Pub is a short walk away through some woods.

The facilities were clean and tidy
Pat was lovely when I arrived despite forgetting to mention I had a couple hounds in town
The comms were great prior to the visit
The dog walking was enough to tire out a 3 year old border collie
Pub within 15 minutes walk was lively with a good selection of beers
Decent shop and a chippy too all in walking distance

Wow, thank you so much for your lovely review, and we were so glad the dogs enjoyed the walks in the woodlands so close by. It's such a great walking space for them, and if you managed to tire them out, they must have had a lovely time.

So very glad you enjoyed the pub. It's a great asset to our community, and a lovely walk. It was such a shame the Saturday was so wet, perhaps the wettest day we have had this season, so we hope your onward travels were safe.

We close at the end of September, so we hope to welcome you back next season.

Tyckte om The view, the peace & the host. Been here before, will definitely be going back again. Also love the fact we don't have to race off early if the space is available. Lovely woods to walk through & the pub is through there too. The farm produces the best steaks ever!

Tyckte om Loved everything! Perfect campsite if looking for a quiet safe relaxing time in the country. Basic facilities kept super clean and really helpful friendly owners. Cute animals for my friends young children to see and a nice stroll to the local village with nice views. Would highly recommend and will be back!
