Не понравилось Price. £25 was far too much for what was on offer.
Allocated pitches when it's only a field with no hook up or hard standings. Let people pitch where they like. All pitches have evening sun and shade in the morning. I prefer the other way around and I couldn't do it even though there was plenty of space.
Composting loos were old and shabby
Only saw 1 tap for drinking water.
The grass needed cutting, far too long.

От менеджера: Thank you for taking the time to write a review particularly when you obviously did not seem to have a good experience at our camp site.
In terms of the pricing we took recommendations from Pitch up as to what was an appropriate amount to charge, and am sorry that you feel that this is not a suitable amount.
When we first opened the camp site we allowed people to camp where they liked but we found that people pitched too close to other tents and it did not work.
we have more pitches marked than we advertise so we can leave gaps between people. There were not many campers as we unexpectedly had to sort out a family emergency so closed the campsite. My godson was looking after the campsite and he did come over a few times but you were not there on each occasion.
There are 3 water taps (in fact there is a 4th one in the stable yard) all with mains water. if you had texted and called i could have described to you where the other taps were or asked my godson to walk over to show you where they are. (there is a red fire bucket by each tap)
The grass along the pitches has recently been cut but have let the other areas be a bit longer as we have hot weather and the grass stays green for longer
As for where the sun goes that is beyond my control and many campers have said how much they enjoy watching the sunsets.
i am surprised you said the compost loos were old and shabby. I have swept them in the morning you arrived and they are in fact not that old but i guess it depends on what you were expecting. Interestingly the review before yours comments on the fact they liked the compost loos
typically i think the website provides a good description of the facilities at the campsite (which are also bought to life by the photos) as well as the the text which i send to all of the people who book. Perhaps you did not have the chance to review either or these which is why you had the expectations of the campsite you did.

Понравилось Great service and communication: they were were so accommodating on our arrival time! Toilets were so clean and well maintained and the ground was such a good quality for pitching.

Понравилось It's a nice place with pitches nicely lined alongside bushes and some trees which helps protect you from wind and rain. The host was very understanding when I arrived late, without letting him know my ETA and camping on the wrong pitch by mistake which was not assigned to me (once again, sorry!). The host was also very attentive and had shared a lot of information about the site, how to get here, what to do on arrival and to show me around. Overall very happy and I can see myself coming back here in the future.

От менеджера: i totally understand that some of our messages might be missed and luckily as we are nearby we can come to show you where things are.
We allocate pitches as we try to organise the camping field so that we can accommodate different requests such as being near the play area if they have children or in a quieter place if they have an anxious dog, or a ensure that two pitches are together.

Понравилось Super friendly and helpful, went beyond to give us a pleasant stay. Well layed out site and the horses are a bonus. Good for small families.

Не понравилось Hard to find ,needed a bigger sign on gate. A little more expensive than I usually pay. For just a field.

От менеджера: I am sorry that you found the site difficult to find. Usually people can find the campsite by following the instructions or what three words.
However I have taken your advice and will be ordering a larger sign for people to find it easier to find the site.
I appreciate that your view it as just a field but we think it offers more by having the play area and a large space where people can play games. But again it depends on what you are looking for in a campsite and ours is for those wanting quiet and relaxation with access to lots of things to do nearby.

Понравилось We absolutely adored the horses, the island’s seclusion, and the slow internet. It was the perfect way to unplug from the daily hustle and bustle. The place was immaculate, with a composting loo, shower, and water taps. Everything was clean and well-maintained. The landlady was incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay truly memorable.
