Moss Rose Campsite

Понравилось We stayed in the aurora bell tent. Stunning! Camp site was great, plenty of space for our kids to run free. The little play area was perfect for our children. (Aged 2 & 4) Joe the owner came round to talk to us giving us a tour telling us all about the site. The honesty sheds - our kids loved as they were able to get bits. (Mainly sweets as a bribe to be good. Ha) can not fault the site at all!

Не понравилось Not a dislike for us. But some may find. Phone signal. We didn’t have any unless near the toilets.
It was nice not to have signal for a day/night!

Понравилось We had an amazing stay! We stayed on the Doyles Dell pitch, which was absolutely perfect for our dogs. Having a secure area for them to run around gave us so much peace of mind, without having to worry about them tangling themselves up on leads or people walking past, as you often do on a usual camping trip.

The owners were lovely and introduced themselves when we arrived. They were fantastic with our dogs, allowing them to approach them in their own time, which was especially appreciated as they can be reactive around new people.

The facilities were great, and we understand the toilets are currently being updated. The honesty shack, fridges, freezer, microwave and coffee machine were all lovely extra touches that made our stay even easier.

We really loved the layout of the site, with each pitch having its own private area cut out of the long grass. It felt much more spacious and peaceful than the usual campsites where everyone is packed in back-to-back. There was also lots of wildlife around, which was a lovely bonus.

We enjoyed it so much that we've already booked to come back! We would definitely recommend this site, especially for anyone camping with dogs. A truly lovely place. ❤️

Понравилось The campsite is fabulous! The pitches are well laid out and plenty big enough for our tent and porch. The privacy of the long grass between each pitch was great.

The facilities are simple but clean and well stocked and the honesty shack is a fantastic touch!

We didn’t get to venture far from the tent because of the weather (typical bank holiday washout!) but we’ll be back to explore next year.

The owners son went above and beyond when we’d ordered a takeaway, he intercepted the delivery driver and brought the food to our tent for us!!

He also spent all weekend giving kids rides on his quad which was just so lovely to watch.

Не понравилось The sheer number of slugs was like something out of a horror film 🤣 I’ve honestly never seen so many in one place! Obviously nothing the owners can do about them, but they were annoying when they invaded the tent.

One very inconsiderate camper let their dog bark all night, and given the rule about reduced noise after 10pm (and it was barking into the early hours), I wish someone would have asked them to keep the dog under control.

Понравилось Brilliant site. Really well organised and has everything available in our opinion that you might need. Toilet and shower facilities are lovely and clean. There are all the things you need like your chemical waste, drinking water and washing up facilities (all well kept) plus there is a honesty shop which literally has all sorts of things that you might not even think off plus comforting extras for if you fancy a little treat. They even have the added extras which are just really useful like a freezer on site as well as a microwave and lockers for charging phones etc. The people who run it are lovely and friendly and very welcoming.

Понравилось Lovely site. Good size pitches, well spaced out. Joe and John were very friendly and helpful. Joe in particular went out of his way to ensure we were happy and was fantastic with the kids. 5 year old loved the animals and play area.

Понравилось Extremely friendly and welcoming family-run campsite. Joe went above and beyond to help our kids have a great time, including letting them cuddle the chicks.

The Aurora bell tent was fantastic - really very well blacked-out so we could sleep late in the mornings. It was sturdy and waterproof amid the thunderstorms and torrential rains we endured!

Having a fridge, freezer, microwave, coffee machine and Honesty shack available was a great help.

Не понравилось Would have been helpful to have a slightly larger facilities block with perhaps an extra shower cubicle and a second hand washing sink/vanity area in the ladies.

Понравилось Great site for staying with young children. Staff also very attentive.

Greeted on arrival and checked on several times throughout our stay. Kids had a great time.

Staff regularly checking the facilities throughout the day, everything was always clean.
