Gostou Loved the shepherds fold, was amazing to let our little doggy daisy off and not have to worry about her, plus felt safer with the kids at night being included. The kids loved feeding the sheep's as well 🐏🐑 definitely go again :)

Gostou We stayed at Doyles Den Moss Ross Campsite for 3 nights as a group of 4 adults, 2 children and 3 dogs, and we genuinely had an amazing stay.

The biggest thing that stood out was the staff. They were absolutely brilliant from start to finish — incredibly friendly, welcoming and attentive, and they really went above and beyond to make everyone feel at home. They were fantastic with the children, letting them help feed the animals, taking them for rides around on the quad and even giving them lifts over to the park. Little things like this made the stay feel really personal and made the weekend particularly special for the kids.

We stayed on one of the enclosed pitches, which was brilliant. It gave us loads of privacy and, having three dogs with us, being able to let them relax off lead within our own pitch made such a difference. It meant both us and the dogs could properly switch off and enjoy the weekend without constantly worrying about leads.

The whole campsite has a really friendly and relaxed atmosphere and you can tell the people running it genuinely care about their guests and the site. We honestly couldn't fault the staff or the overall experience. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be returning. It is easily somewhere we would recommend to other families, especially those camping with children and dogs.

The toilet facilities are quite small and there is currently only one male toilet serving the campsite, although there is already a sign explaining that they are planning to increase the facilities, so it is clearly something they are aware of and working on.

The showers are push-button operated, which can be a little annoying when you're trying to have a shower and have to keep pressing the button, although we completely understand the reasoning behind this and the need to reduce unnecessary water usage.

The only other small issue was with our enclosed pitch. There were quite a lot of nettles around the edges and some of the hedgerows were growing quite far into the pitch. This effectively reduced the usable width and made positioning our larger tent a little awkward, despite the tent itself being under the stated 6.5m pitch width. A quick trim back of the hedges and nettles would make the enclosed pitches even better, particularly for people using larger family tents.

These are genuinely minor points though and shouldn't take away from what was an excellent campsite and a fantastic weekend. The positives massively outweigh them and we would happily stay again.

Gostou Excellent, family friendly site. Really great to be able to hire fire pit and picnic table. Loveliest family run site- couldn’t do enough to ensure we had the best stay and the kids had fun. Really good local recommendations. We will definitely be back

Gostou We had a fantastic stay at Moss Rose Campsite in Winmarleigh, staying on the Doyle’s Den secluded pitch. It was the perfect balance of privacy and space, making it ideal for a relaxing family camping trip.

Our daughter, absolutely loved looking at all the animals and spent hours happily riding her bike up and down our pitch. It felt really safe and gave her plenty of room to play while we relaxed.

The honesty box was a lovely touch and really added to the friendly, welcoming atmosphere of the campsite. We also made great use of the fire pit in the evenings, and having a bench already on the pitch was a real bonus.

At £40 per night, Doyle’s Den is exceptional value for money considering the space, seclusion, and included extras. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful camping getaway in the countryside!

Não gostou The only slight downside was that having just one shower could be a little frustrating at busy times, luckily I’m a 11pm shower guy. However, they’re already in the process of building a new toilet and shower block, which will be a fantastic addition and make an already great campsite even better.

Gostou Great little campsite. Quiet, well spaced pitches. Clean loos, well stocked honesty shop, well run and environmentally conscious

Gostou Great site great host nothing to much trouble. Toilets and shower all very clean. Sheep on site ablw to feed them. We will defo be back. Thank you

Gostou Really lovely site, owners very friendly and welcoming. Honestly shack was a wonderful idea helping us get last minute items without having to leave the site, toilets and washing up area kept very clean . Lots of space for kids to play and explore and felt very safe.

Gostou What a lovely site with nice views over to the pennines. A little woodland walk, feeding sheep, chickens, an honesty shop, firepits, park for the kids, pitches plenty big enough and everything very decently and affordable priced.
The owners are so friendly and take pride in their site.
The bathrooms are cleaned constantly, even providing luxury loo roll!!!
A peaceful site which was quiet after 10.
We will definatly come back.

Não gostou I wouldnt say its a dislike but......Showers clean but very small and rubbish shower head. Everyone loves a good shower while camping! Could do with a couple more showers and bigger, was hard to shower kids with you.
Maybe a couple of water taps dotted around the site as heavy to carry full water back!

Gostou Allocated pitches...and everything else. Such a wonderful place for families, couples and solo campers. I have returned not yet again and loved every minute.
The owners are amazing time after time.
