Banish any visions of a stressy holiday stuck in hot cars and slow traffic out of your head… At North Shore Holiday Centre, a family-friendly Lincolnshire site 10 minutes’ walk from the centre of Skegness, you won’t have to travel far to stay busy once you arrive. North Shore is on the outskirts of Skegness, and there’s plenty of seaside resorty things to do within easy reach of the site: the sandy beach, pier and town centre are all within walking distance, and you’ll have to drive for less than 15 minutes to get to the museum, nature reserve, aquarium or theme park. There's tons to keep you busy on site too: perfect your end-game at the nine-hole pitch and putt, try out the arcade games, take the kids to the playground and go game-set-match on the tennis courts. Those with dogs should also be pleased to hear that the site has an enclosed dog area where they can be let off their leads. Feeling peckish? There are oodles of eateries within 25 minutes’ walk of North Shore, or you can settle in for a meal on site – call in to the fully-licensed bar-restaurant, then stick around for the evening’s entertainment.

Não gostou Lack of respect by other campers regarding your own pitch, they walked over your pitch with no regard for personal space. Other campsites rules are that you do not walk or ride your bikes/scooters over other people’s pitches.
Loud, drunk, swearing campers on site.
Electric scooters were being ridden at high speeds through the site.
The accessibility facilities, whilst spacious, need a good clean, and the seats etc could do with being scrubbed clean or replaced as they looked dirty. A wet room squidgy broom would be a great idea too please.

Gostou We had a great time here, arcades for the kids, entertainment both nights, all areas allowed dogs, contrary to other reviews the toilet block was spotless, large pitch and putt which we will have a go at next time and activities for the kids, we’d definitely come again, was really close to North Shore beach for a quieter beach with the dogs, we went crabbing one evening at high tide and loved it. Ten minute walk if you want to get into town and the beaches there and 20 min walk to the main shopping street. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back!

Gostou Not to far from skegness

Não gostou The distance for the water connection from meter to caravan was longer than normal we had to buy an extension lead which cost us a furthet £19.99 which we will not use again and the place to empty our toilet was blocked so we had to bring it home to empty really not ideal the staff in the reception were not very friendly infact shouted from there chair instead of getting up and greeting us not very proffesional.

Não gostou Bar staff a bit miserable no food being served the night we went there so decided not to bother the rest of our trip,and dog run had a lot of dog poop in it not the parks fault it’s the owners

Kids will want to dive into the aquarium, the fairground and the brightly lit amusements of the pleasure pier, while grownups might have more appreciation for the Naturelands seal sanctuary or The Village, Church Farm open-air museum. Want something for everyone? The entire family should be entertained with trips to Fantasy Island theme park (in nearby Ingoldmells), the Lincolnshire Coast Light Railway and the stock car and bangers racing at Skegness Raceway, all within 10 minutes of the site. When you want to take your adventuring beyond the bounds of the seaside town, you can find peace 15 minutes away from the thrill rides and squealing tyres with visits to Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve or the flat Lincolnshire Wolds for cycling and walking trails, or by making a pitstop at the spectacular Gunby Hall and Gardens for a taste of splendour. For a quirkier outing, make your way a little further afield for a night at the Kinema in the Woods, believed to be the only full-time cinema in the UK still using rear projection for screenings.
