  • Miniature golf, pitch and putt, tennis, bowls and arcade

North Shore is on the outskirts of Skegness, and there’s plenty of seaside resorty things to do within easy reach of the site: the sandy beach, pier and town centre are all within walking distance, and you’ll have to drive for less than 15 minutes to get to the museum, nature reserve, aquarium or theme park. There’s tons to keep you busy on site too: play a round of miniature golf, perfect your end-game at the nine-hole pitch and putt, have a go at bowls or boules, try out the arcade games and go game-set-match on the tennis courts. Feeling peckish? There are oodles of eateries within 25 minutes’ walk of North Shore, or you can settle in for a meal on site – call in to the fully-licensed bar-restaurant, then stick around for the evening’s entertainment.

What customers say

North Shore Holiday Park gets props for its primo location, a short stroll to Skegness town and beach. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Clean, well-kept pitches and facilities, with hot showers, are a hit. The pub, shop, and entertainment are popular, especially with families. Some mention occasional noise and dated facilities, with a few guests having issues with electricity metering and the card access system. Management says improvements are coming.

AW FHU gravel travel trailer campsite

Liked Nice and quiet when we were there, pitch and put pub was convenient if you like that sort of thing, hard standing pitch was nice and level and generously spaced, 5kw of electric was adequate for our needs, otherwise the site was convenient for walking to town centre, also bus stop just outside entrance ,overall nice place to stay.

Disliked Showers could have been organised a little better, no space to change after showering, floor was wet everywhere, and at times water was cold,

Liked Good location close to sea front. Staff were welcoming.

Disliked Didn’t seem to clean as often as they should. When clean it was done well, but a very messy toilet one evening was still horrible the next afternoon!!

24 foot powered gravel travel trailer campsite

Liked We stayed on a gravel tourer pitch . The pitches are wide but not much room in between rows to get into the space when others are pitched . Grass was kept ok

Disliked The whole place looks like it needs to go in the washer . Large shower and toilet block but looked dingy with mould .
Do not even bother trying the food at the pub as we ordered breakfast and waited 35 minutes to be served it cold even though there was only 3 other people in there. £23 for two small breakfasts and coffee it was not the best at all and my daughter and granddaughter were ignored and gave up ordering theirs .
Over priced beer at the bar and staff look and act like they don’t want to be there . No smiles or interaction at all . On arrival you are issued with one card that works the electric meter toilets showers and barrier which made it difficult to do seperate things as a family .and it was not explained that the card is only preloaded with a small amount of electric that ran out at 11pm the night before we left so had to go to the pub in pjs to try and sort it out to pay for more even though we were out and about all days we were there .
Advertises kids entertainment which turned out to be a game of musical statues which is not suitable for younger ages . Next was bingo that brought out all the seasonal pitch residents that made it known you were an outsider the pub got so busy you could not get to the bar or outside without asking people to move their chairs and prams . We did not stay for the next entertainment which was a singer . Arcade next to the pub is ok but no a lot for the kids they get bored quick as most are ticket prizes .daughter hired a static Caravan the same time and it was dingy and unclean and really poor for £100 a night only source of heating was a plug in little convector heater in the seating area . The only bins for rubbish are back to main reception near the entrance which is a pain .
Staff seem very minimal never anyone about or their stood talking with each other and not bothered . The beach is 15 minute walk away . The nearest shop off site and chip shop is about 10 mins away and skeggy clock tower is a 25 min walk . Nothing much in the area although the bus stop is outside the site . For food and beer there is a lovely pub called the ship about 15 mins walk away .

AW FHU gravel travel trailer campsite

Liked I recently spent 3 nights at North Shore caravan park in Skegness and had an absolutely delightful experience. The park is perfectly situated, being close to both the beach and local amenities, which made our stay extremely convenient and enjoyable.

One of the highlights was how family-friendly the site is. It offered a safe and welcoming environment for everyone, which allowed us to relax and truly enjoy our time together. Its proximity to the beach meant we could pop down for a walk or to enjoy the seaside whenever we felt like it.

I honestly have no criticisms regarding my stay—everything met or exceeded my expectations. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, and the entire experience was smooth and stress-free.

Overall, I would give my stay a full 5 out of 5. I highly recommend North Shore in Skegness for anyone looking for a relaxing and family-friendly touring caravan holiday.

24 foot powered gravel travel trailer campsite

Liked Proximity to town centre and the toilets and showers are always cleaned regularly also the club house is a decent place for a pint

Disliked Half of the arcades were not working also the ticket counting machines were all broken so the tickets that were won in the arcade were useless as the girl in the bar said " were not accepting tickets at the moment as we don't have time to count them " as this was on our last day the tickets were essential useless, also the restaurant had ran out of pizzas at 8pm on a Monday evening ( not a big deal to be fair but we've been here probably 10 or 15 times and the restaurant has always either sold out of something of is literally just doing pizza ) basically whoever is incharge of maintenance and stock orders need to step their game up

Camping pod (pet friendly)

Liked Spacious, clean , close to amenities- walking distance. Plenty of open spaces for children to play football or on bikes/scooters. I will definitely return

Disliked Both Receptionists were rude on arrival. And the key card situation to open the toilets/ showers seems pretty unhygienic.

Local attractions

Any stay at North Shore Holiday Centre should start with a thorough exploration of Skegness as there are loads of places within five minutes’ drive you’re going to want to add to the list. Kids will want to dive into the aquarium, the fairground and the brightly lit amusements of the pleasure pier, while grownups might have more appreciation for the Naturelands seal sanctuary or The Village, Church Farm open-air museum. Want something for everyone? The entire family should be entertained with trips to Fantasy Island theme park (in nearby Ingoldmells), the Lincolnshire Coast Light Railway and the stock car and bangers racing at Skegness Raceway, all within 10 minutes of the site. When you want to take your adventuring beyond the bounds of the seaside town, you can find peace 15 minutes away from the thrill rides and squealing tyres with visits to Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve or the flat Lincolnshire Wolds for cycling and walking trails, or by making a pitstop at the spectacular Gunby Hall and Gardens for a taste of splendour. For a quirkier outing, make your way a little further afield for a night at the Kinema in the Woods, believed to be the only full-time cinema in the UK still using rear projection for screenings. Screen one is home to an organ covered in 18th-century-style lacquered consoles and screen two has trompe l’oeil-style paintings of rural Lincolnshire on its walls. Don’t worry – the cinema may be old-fashioned, but the movies aren’t…
