Camping Belle Vue

Polubione The perfect place to spend 5 days of hot French summer.

A handful of pitches, surrounded by views of fields and Hautefort chateau. Our pitch was under the shade of the the willow tree, where we we greeted by cows from the neighbouring field on several morning - before being presented with a basket of fresh boulangerie items (probably the best croissants in France!).

The carefully maintained pool and outdoor shower were a welcome relief after mornings/afternoons exploring. We enjoyed road cycling (also lots of off-road routes available) and footpaths, including on the old railway line and through the Boisseuilh railway tunnel. Hautefort chateau (5km walk via quiet road/footpath) is well worth a visit- and there are a handful of bars/restaurants in the picturesque town (Saturday evening was surprisingly quiet, but if you want to eat any day booking is recommended).

Delicious, excellent value evening meals also available on request at Belle Vue, cooked by Cal and served by Simon in the old cow barn, local wine available too. They are wonderfully welcoming and helpful, on hand for local tips such as local markets worth visiting (Excideuil 20 mins drive away -Thursdays).

Polubione We loved this little site in a rural French setting. Our hosts, Simon & Cal were amazing, nothing was to much trouble, from bringing our breakfast order to our pitch to arranging a vets appointment for our pup as part of the rules for travel back to the UK. We chose this site because of the great reviews and we were not disappointed. The pitches are of a good size (ours had electric) and the facilities, whilst basic are very clean & well maintained. The option to have an evening meal on site is great and we took this option for 2 of our 4 nights. The 4 courses cooked by Cal and hosted by Simon were delicious and we recommend taking up this option during your stay. The onsite pool was also a great option for warm sunny days. This is a great little site in a great setting just outside of the village of Hautefort & we highly recommend a stay here; we would definitely stay here again if we return to this area in France.

Polubione Peaceful site, beautiful setting, great hosts - very welcoming. If staying, do take up the offer of dining on site. Our meal cooked by Cal and hosted by Simon, was a real highlight of our tour (and great value too)

The campsite is especially well looked after and run by Simon and Cal. They have put a great deal of thought into how they want to run their business and their primary focus is their guests.
Before we even arrived we were asked if they could get us anything from the shops which was so considerate.
We were greeted and shown the amenities and pitch personally which was lovely.
Each day we were able to order fresh bread and croissants ( scrumptious ) that were delivered to our tent.
The site is beautiful with an amazing with a view of Chateau Hautefort. It is super clean.
Our two dogs were also spoilt with little treats.
Yes they have thought of everything !
We can only say go and experience a wonderful place with two genuinely wonderful people who want you to have a relaxed and happy stay.

Polubione My wife and I had the most enjoyable holiday at Camping Belle View. Simon and Carl are the best hosts anyone could wish for. The site is beautifully situated on the outskirts of Hautefort with great views of the fantastic Chateau. We dined at the camp and it must be said that Carl is a wonderful chef and his gastronomic creations were superb. We had issues with our car and our hosts could not have been more helpful and sympathetic which made us both feel safer and reassured. We cannot recommend Camping Belle View enough for a peaceful, happy and wonderful holiday in beautiful surroundings with two great people looking after you.
