Higher Pentreath Farm Camp Site

Polubione Good facilities, toilets, washroomwith washing machine, showers. Close to beach 5 minute walk (though up/down a steep hill). Excellent views. Had Wi-fi that extended quite a long way into the site, first field anyway.

Niepolubione Site was on a slope. We managed to find a flat bit but when it's busy that might not be possible

Polubione Spacious pitch although field is on a slope (this is mentioned on the website ) so not a huge problem for me. Facilities spotless, very quiet and not far away from SWCP. Big hill leading to camp site which is a bit taxing after walking all day. Would stay again

Niepolubione Shower was not great , no where to put your clothes when drying or dressing , water was a dribble from an old in-line water heater . The pitch was on a hill with deep decline . Only the top row was relatively flat but they were taken . The Wi-Fi didn’t work and the five minute walk was 15 mins via a small lane with no path and winding bends with cars coming up fast . We have small 2 year old so it was dangerous. We ended up driving down to the car park on the beach where campers are aloud for £15 for 24 hours when you arrive . Also the evening was a clear sunny day and night so we were drawn in by the “watch the sunset “ you can’t see the sunset as it’s drops behind the field at the top but you can from the beach ,

Niepolubione There was no friendly welcome, just a miserable what’s your name from the guy in the bungalow. There was no information given about the site, area or anything. In fact upon complaining (on the telephone number we were given when booking) about another holiday maker being rude to us and how this incident had made us feel like packing up and moving on…the owner agreed with us and said they would speak to the women in question but we heard nothing more about it so believe nothing was said because the woman and her husband continued to watch/ spy on us all holiday and she even got another holiday maker with his little dog to spy on us and patrol the field. This was all because our very friendly/calm dog ran a little away along the empty field from our camper to come greet me on my way back from the shower block. She came marching over and said dogs should be on the lead at all times! I explained what had happened but she didn’t care, at the time I thought she was the owner but realised she wasn’t when we saw her return to her caravan. I telephoned the owner to explain what had happened and she said she had been rude before and it’s all because she brings her 4 cats on holiday with her! The owner said our dog was fine and didn’t have a problem with him roaming because there was hardly anyone on site. The cats were allowed to roam everywhere! Which we personally didn’t like but didn’t feel the need to report it!
The shower/ toilet blocks were disgusting! They were filthy, there was black mould, poo, flooded floors, blood on toilet seat, cobwebs everywhere. The toilet roll was super thin. The showers were cold apart from one shower which went hot and cold, nearly burning you at times and it leaked from the sides and the flow wasn’t great. There was nowhere to keep your clothes dry either.
They didn’t have a shop either. There was no lighting on an evening so the camp was in darkness.The pitches were all sloping, its a good job we brought our levellers with us!
Upon booking there was no mention of the extremely steep hill to the campsite and the fact that you took your life in your hands when going down to the beach and ONE food/ drinking establishment there! We were fine and physically able to climb the hill but I think it should be mentioned in general information that it might not be doable for some people. Like I said we were fine, however my husband was nearly hit by a bus who came around the corner very fast and didn’t stop even though he was trying to get out of the way, it was an inch off him!
We didn’t see the owners all the time we were there which made us feel like they didn’t care especially after the incident with the rude women just down from us.
We feel the site is very over priced for the state it is in and the lack of facilities. We have stayed at much better and cleaner places, one even with a swimming pool for a lot less than this site.

Polubione Great location, 5 minute walk from the beach where there’s a bar and cafe, and very central for the rest of Cornwall! Co-op at the top of the road, a bus route that comes past the campsite too! Facilities are well kept but basic enough to keep you feeling like you’re at a proper campsite!

Polubione Everything! We stayed last year and this year was the bank holiday weekend much busier than before but as always a wonderful site. Loved the live music on a Saturday night in a relaxed atmosphere and burger van onsite. Beach isn't far which is always a bonus. Facilities are good and three fields to choose from to pitch up so plenty of choice, easy to check in and lots of time given to do so, 10 am and 12pm respectively which I think is great as some parks offer later check ins. Could hear the sea at night which I absolutely love, this is a piece of heaven and a gem of a site!

Niepolubione Nothing! Although we had some really noisy neighbours who were talking into the early hours and the toilets did become quite slippery but this was no fault of the site and understandable as it was very busy compared to our stay last year. Would stay again but perhaps early or later in the season, but that was just our personal preference

Polubione Beautiful campsite, really easy to find and access. Location was perfect for what we wanted and the beach is a short walk away. We have a wonderfully time here for a couple of night
