Likte Lovely small quiet camp site. You can walk to the local pub which provides food. There are goats and geese to feed if you have little ones. Toilets and showers available, also area providing cooking facilities. Would definitely stay again.

Likte Lovely peaceful location, Owners were friendly and really approachable, pitch was a lovely size and well marked out, the facilities were fab had everything we needed and were kept really clean.
Liked it so much we are going back again next week!!

Likte We had a lovely quiet pitch - the site is away from busy roads. Beautifully clean site. Great communication with the hosts and a 12 noon check-in and out. Recommended.
Oh and a pub selling great cider a few minutes walk away.

Likte Lovely location and the layout of the pitches is great. The pitches and paths between them are mown into longer grass which is something I would love to see in more smaller sites. The hosts were really helpful and welcoming but the stars of the show were, of course, the animals, particularly the goats and a very friendly cat! My son could have happily spent the entire weekend feeding the goats if we didn't have anything else planned. There is a decent sized playground directly opposite the entrance to the site and the local pub is a 2-3 minute walk away. The food there was very nice.

Likte ikke I know it has been mentioned in other reviews but the only complaint we had with the site was with the toilets. Were it not for them I would be leaving a 10/10 review. The inside locks definitely need replacing and it would be nice to have more substantial lights in them for when it's dark. We were aware ahead of our stay that they were compost toilets and had no issue with that beforehand. In theory they're great. In practice it only takes one person to miss the instructions (which were only printed in one of the two toilets) for it to become pretty unpleasant. There's a urine diverter just below the front of the seat that separates liquids from solids but when this inevitable got filled almost to the top with toilet paper and sawdust it made it very uncomfortable, particularly as a man with things hanging in that direction, to sit down. Also if you have any mobility issues at all I can't say that they would be easy to use. Obviously I can only speak from our experience with them and if used properly by everyone (I've included photo of the instructions) I'm sure they're fine. One positive I have to add is that I really didn't notice a smell from them.

You're l right the eco loos have a personality all if their own and that's documented in the site description in Pitch up..

You're absolutely right about the lack of smell and that's because of the urine diverter that you've mentioned.😀

We try our very best to keep the toilets clean and they are checked at least twice a day by us...really hard to stop what others do in between those checks😕

We also provide cleaning facilities within the loos so campers can share the load...🤞🤞🤞

Thank you for pointing out the missing instructions from one of the loos, these have now been replaced.

We have rechargeable motion activated lights in both loos, I'm guessing one of them must have run out of steam whilst you were there..new ones fitted after your review, thank you for that.

Hopefully the eco credentials are appreciated and that offsets some of the quirkiness 😁

Likte We received a very warm welcome on arrival. Our hosts showed us around and made a real effort to involve the boys with the animals, which they absolutely loved. They were especially excited to help feed the goats in the morning.

The site itself is beautiful, peaceful, and surrounded by trees and animals, creating a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. It was the perfect stay for both us and the children, and there were plenty of resources and extras available if needed.

We had a brilliant weekend at New Farm and can’t wait to return soon. Highly recommended!

Likte Everything about the place. It was beautiful and peaceful. The owner was lovely and helped us out when our electric socket wasn’t working. We definitely want to book again.

Likte Lovely big pitch.
Cars were parked away from camping area so felt nice and open.
Ducks roaming around and goats etc to pet.
Quiet.
Pub with excellent food at a reasonable price just a few minutes walk away.
Showers were good, plenty of space in the room for a family.
Lots of useful things, freezer, microwave etc as well as board games and books.
Good value for money.

Likte ikke Toilets were interesting, not a major problem as only for a weekend. However, my granddaughter has a disability and found the steps quiet difficult as they were big and she is used to a grab rail at home so the "quirkiness " of them was a challenge. If there was any scope for just one conventional toilet in the shower area it would have helped. The compostable ones would still be there for those happy to use them, my other granddaughter didn't have a problem with them, but they are not good for anyone with mobility/sensory issues (In fairness though it is stated on website they are compostable toilets!).

You're right, the eco loos are quirky but eco friendly and much less disruption than other installations.

Sorry your daughter found them tricky...we will look again at hand rails etc, we are constantly reviewing our facilities...so thanks for your feedback.
