Ik was blij met Bus stop outside the site for travel to Salisbury or Marlborough. Handy pub site.

Ik was niet blij met Not enough toilet or shower facilities. Could do with a face lift. Very uneven pitches. Bins overflowing.

Ik was blij met Clean washroom facilities and access to electricity.

Ik was niet blij met Pub kitchen closed at 4pm. Pub bar closed at 6pm. Don’t arrive on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday if you want a meal and a drink.

Ik was blij met Warm welcome at the pub on arrival.
Very reasonable price but that reflected facilities.

Ik was niet blij met Noise of the road was quite bad until very late.
There was only one ladies toilet.
Washing up area wasn’t cleaned up, lots of very old used sponges just left there.

Ik was blij met As a location it was just what we needed, easy to book in pub and shown to pitch… when busy would recommend bringing food or booking in advance, local shop a very decent walk away and told pub fully booked when we got there..

Ik was niet blij met It was very busy but that was the season.. only comment is that it could do with an amenities upgrade if regularly busy, site packed and five in line for the shower.. given hot weather.. it might just be as fully booked.. they worked.. we were happy with that..

Ik was blij met Within 20 miles from home, great for a weekend away. A lovely warm welcome from the new owners who took it over on Mothers day this year. The renovation they have done to the Pub is exceptional.
Overall, this is a lovely little site just waiting to be turned into a little Gem, I have no doubt by looking at the pubs refurbishment, the same will be applied to the campsite.
We look forward to returning to see the transformation.

Ik was niet blij met The toilet and shower facilities need updating and extending. The camping site was packed and not organised, people seemed to pitch where they wanted. The rubbish/recycling bins were overflowing due to the amount of people on site.

Ik was blij met Love the location and atmosphere of this site. Able to camp anywhere. Pub has friendly staff and delicious food. Dog friendly. Beautiful location for exploring area or just sitting watching the river.

Dog walking is limited to pub garden, around tents or a footpath across and down a busy road

Ik was blij met The staff in the pub were lovely and very helpful. Child friendly location with the playground made it great fun for the kids.

The pitches were a great size with enough room for large tents, camping chairs set out and we had the additional space for a car to park alongside our camper and awning.

Ik was niet blij met There is no direct route to the lake which lead to a short drive with the kids for a walk around. Although it’s not part of the direct land the opportunity for a walk was not available without a drive due to the busy road.

We stayed for two nights over the summer holidays, with 6 kids between us we were keen to ensure they did not cause a nuisance to other campers. However, there were a number of very noisy campers - particularly adults drinking and playing music past 11pm. A little bit of monitoring would have been helpful but maybe we were just unlucky on that particular night.

Ik was niet blij met There was only 1 toilet in the ladies and the campsite was full. It was totally inadequate for the number of people on site. When the pub was open campers could access the toilets in the building.
