What customers say
Lovely riverside campsite with a decent pub. Pitches are good, staff are friendly & dogs welcome. Facilities are clean but basic, could do with a spruce-up and more loos when busy. Pub sometimes shut with limited food.

Friendly and welcoming campsite
Power optional concrete slab site
Liked The owners were friendly and welcoming. The pitches were well spaced and with good electric hook-ups. The pub itself was very nice - they had a Halloween party on the weekend we stayed and felt welcome along with other campers and locals. There were lots of walking paths leading off from the campsite.
Disliked The toilet facilities were a little tired and would benefit from a refresh.

Would stay again.
Power optional concrete slab site
Liked The pub. Really good menu with good cask ales and fantastic friendly locals. Bar people really friendly. There were 7 or 8 in the campsite but mature people. Though on a roundabout the roads are VERY quiet. Owls hooting all night.
Disliked Nothing really. There are some open deep bits of river....I guess if you have kids you'd have to be super vigilant.

Power optional concrete slab site
Liked The pitch was level and easy to access, and the owners were friendly and helpful. The food in the pub was excellent.
Disliked The toilets were poorly maintained, the seat was broken and the paving slabs at the toilet door were loose. Everything felt a bit neglected.

I didn’t actually get to stay…
Unpowered grass site
Liked I didn’t actually get to stay here. I booked and gave time of arrival. When I got there a number was provided on the gate which I called, no answer, the pub was also closed. I sent an email, waited an hour and still had no answer from either so I left. It was 7pm by the time I left so a struggle to find somewhere alternative. I’m not sure why it’s available on the website if they aren’t accepting bookings/not open.
Disliked From what I could see the site looked a bit scruffy, obviously I wouldn’t know because I was never able to stay due to no way of contacting the owners.
