All touring units must have at least one portable fire extinguisher. Electric cars must be parked in a designated area.

Flaxton Meadows, per soli adulti, è molto apprezzato per le sue strutture impeccabili, tra cui bagni moderni e caldi. Il personale è costantemente definito eccezionalmente cordiale e disponibile. Offre piazzole spaziose e un comodo bar con pizzeria. Mi è piaciuto Really friendly site. Owner and staff made you feel very welcome. The toilet and shower block was excellent. Never crowded and very tidy. Hair dryers available as well, which was a bonus. Bar was great. Fair prices and lovely atmosphere. The whole site was clean and tidy. There's a dog wash facility and good washing up area for pots and pans. It's a lovely little campsite and it wasn't too noisy in the evening even though it is adults only.
Non mi è piaciuto I wish there was an option to have a non electric pitch away from others. We had to share an electric point with two other tents which made us very close in proximity as you were huddled around on four sides. Whilst this was okay, it wasn't ideal especially since I didn't really need the electric site at all. There's plenty of room (or was when we were there) for you to pitch further up the field away from other sites and be without electric. I would have been happy paying the same price without the electric. I'd still give it 10/10 though as it was a great place! Just something for the owners to consider.

Mi è piaciuto The site was very clean and well maintained. It was our first trip in our motorhome . Staff friendly, bar was lovely and not overpriced , great pitch. Showers toilet very clean and warm

Mi è piaciuto Fabulous happy staff, lovely clean site, fantastic amount of wildlife, close enough to shops etc but perfect for a quiet get away. Lovely to have a manly adult site with a bar and food facilities to hand.
Non mi è piaciuto Nothing to do with the site but the drunk loud campers that came on the Friday night and chose to drink and be extremely foul mouthed then the lady urinate outside right near the toilets. Disgusting behaviour

Mi è piaciuto Great facilities; spacious, clean and warm. Really friendly staff, and a nice little campsite bar. There's a nature walk around the perimeter, and loads of wildlife to see. Any noise issues "after hours" were dealt with quickly and efficiently.
So good we extended our stay an extra night!
Non mi è piaciuto The wifi doesnt reach the tent field (and that's not noted in the description); its clear the owner has made massive investments in the site, so hopefully they will install some wifi extenders soon.
The next two are beyond the campsite's control (so I haven't marked down for this) but its worth flagging to make people aware:
- there is noise from passing cars (fast) and trains (blowing horns from 7:30am)
- its very close to a military training range, so there were guns shooting from 9-3:30 during the week.
It didn't spoil things for us, but we have a noise sensitive dog who was a little unsure.

Mi è piaciuto Upon arrival and throughout the stay, I found the staff were very friendly and helpful. They have an onsite bar and pizza trailer that are open until 10pm with an outdoor seating area that was popular with guests. The trailer also did bacon/sausage butties in the morning. What we dont mind is that there were a few people sat up and talking until 11pm at night. They were quiet and respectful and I am ok with this as I like to stay up until around this time anyway. If you are expecting lights out and no noise past 10pm, then this might not be the site for you. As I said, I dont mind this, it certainly wasnt noisy and people did keep their voices low. We stayed on a grass pitch and found that there was plenty of room and we didnt feel overlooked by other guests. The toilets and showers were nice, clean and modern. The site itself is easy to get to (no narrow roads for the caravan/trailer) and the city of York is only about 20 minutes away.
Non mi è piaciuto Although I did enjoy the pizza and bacon butty, I did think it was a bit expensive (£4 for the butty and I think it was £13 for the pizza). I'm not marking the campsite down for this, as this was optional (we didnt need to have this). It says it has wifi but it doesnt reach as far as the grass pitch. Not the fault of the campsite but there was a noisy couple from Newcastle sat up until past 1am talking loudly. They were told to be quiet by another camper and voices were then raised. Thankfully nothing major came of it and it went quiet 5 mins later. Again, this isnt the campsites fault. I link this to the bar and adults drinking. 99%of people that drink alcohol are ok but there is always that 1%.

Mi è piaciuto Great campsite the toilets and showers was the cleanest I’ve ever used staff was really nice and helpful. Onsite pub wasn’t over priced and the pizza was really nice. Would definitely recommend
