Mi è piaciuto Loved the setting amongst trees and individual camp spots. Warm welcome and friendly helpful staff.

Mi è piaciuto Easy checkin and communication, woodland site, decent facilities and info boards about local wildlife.

Non mi è piaciuto Not what i was expecting. When a campsite claims to secluded I hope for some privacy even in school holidays, but no luck here, its an open woodland with closely packed pitches. There is not enough vegetation to offer as screens, conversations can be heard from nearby pitches and other peoples children were running through my pitch (some pitches have paths right through them). If there was a choice of pitches it would have helped but they are allocated.

I'm sorry the site wasn't what you were expecting. We do our best to be as transparent as possible in our descriptions and photos.

Some pitches are more open than others due to the nature of the site, however we believe we explain this on our website.

Unfortunately, sound will travel and when the site is busy (especially in school holidays) there is not much we can do about that.

If people were using your pitch as a walkway, our Warden Harry could have addressed that issue for you and had a word with people.

You can choose your pitch on our website. Each pitch has a page with pictures and explanations. If you'd like advice on which pitch would be best for you, please contact us and we can assist.

Unfortunately, PitchUp doesn't have the facility to allow customers to choose pitches, so they are allocated automatically based on how many people are in your booking.

I hope your experience doesn't put you off staying with us again.

Mi è piaciuto The warden was welcoming and pleasant. The camp was lovely, all set in woody areas. Peaceful with easy access to water and facilities. Will definitely be going back.

Mi è piaciuto Private plots, felt enclosed by nature. Showers were super cool.
Lots of little fun things we enjoyed (rope swings, nice benches, statues etc)
The staff (Harry) were super helpful with checking in past 5.
The fire kit has a great amount of wood

Non mi è piaciuto Pay per person rather than per plot.
As a couple this was fine but many more people would get expensive!

Mi è piaciuto Beautiful woodland campsite. Private, secluded pitches. It made such a difference not having cars in your view, just the woods. Great facilities and friendly, helpful staff.

Mi è piaciuto Second to none! Heaven on earth, pitch was perfect, shown around the ww1 trenches, amazing! Jonathan showed us to our pitch, we bought a starter box of timber and we cooked our evening meal and breakfast. Also had a shower, it was phenomenal! I could hear the birds whilst I washed my hair, it was surreal to say the least! Will 100% be back!

Mi è piaciuto Felt like free camping but with hidden showers and toilets, great spot and pitches. Staff (Harry) was great as i had some last minute changes (arriving late), no worries just solutions.

Mi è piaciuto The campsite and setting. The wardens were very inviting and helpful.

Non mi è piaciuto There is a peafowl somewhere near and it was so noisy day and night. One of the pitches was quite overgrown and could have been strimmed or cut to make things more easier to pitch and move around. The showers and toilets did get very discusting when there are lots of people on site. No toilet roll at one point but just took our own after just in case,

I'm glad to hear you liked the setting of our campsite and our Wardens Harry and Jonathan were helpful.

The glamping site next door has quite a few peafowl who do make some noise. They are quite beautiful but noise at night isn't great. There's not much we can do about them unfortunately.

In regards to the toilets, extra checks should be done when it's busy but I'll make sure this is the case.
