La Slate House Farm è un rifugio rurale tranquillo con splendide viste e un contatto diretto con la natura. Ospiti lodano l'accoglienza calorosa dei proprietari Toni e Ricky e i pod ben attrezzati, puliti e accoglienti. Extra apprezzati come marshmallow e legna da ardere. Gli animali della fattoria piacciono ai bambini. Pur essendo i pod un po' stretti per quattro, e notati piccoli problemi con acqua o frigorifero, gli ospitali proprietari hanno risolto tutto rapidamente. Posizione ideale per esplorare il Peak District.

Mi è piaciuto Beautiful location with stunning views, plenty of open space, animals around the farm and a lovely fishing lake. We especially enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and the opportunity to be close to nature. A great place for families looking to explore the Peak District.
Non mi è piaciuto The main area for improvement would be the water quality and bathroom facilities, as the water had a strong metallic smell and the shower and toilet were sometimes difficult to use.

Brilliant place for a weekend away

Mi è piaciuto We had a wonderful stay at Slate House Farm. The pods are lovely. Well equipped and very clean. We had a BBQ and a firepit plus a bag of marshmallows! The setting is beautiful. It is just completely surrounded by countryside. We have never camped or stayed in a pod before and I think this was a brilliant place to come to try it out. Our pod had lots of space outside for us to sit and relax and also our own picnic bench to eat at. A really big grassy area too for the kids to play. The farm has places to explore with more seating away from the main pod area and a separate field for playing football.
Non mi è piaciuto The only thing I would flag is that the pod was really snug for 4 - 2 adults with 2 bigger kids (10 and 12). It was a lot of juggling things around to get our beds down each night. But I guess that is the camping experience! We would still do it all again.

Mi è piaciuto Green open spaces for the kids to run about freely, beautiful views. Pod had all the little things you might need, plus some extras like marshmallows for toasting. Extra bedding stored under the bed, plenty of towels, bottles of water in the fridge.
Non mi è piaciuto Just a few niggles, nothing major.
Dvd player didnt work and boiler often wouldn't ignite so we were without hot water for showers or washing up on a couple of nights. We managed.

Mi è piaciuto We had a lovely stay at Slate House Farm Pod. The pod was very spacious and equipped with everything you need. We received a very warm welcome from the owners, who made us feel at home straight away.
The surroundings are absolutely amazing, with stunning views everywhere you look. There is also a lovely pond next to the pod, which made the stay even more relaxing. We especially loved seeing all the animals — ponies, horses, chickens, and baby sheep.
We had such a lovely time and would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful countryside getaway!
Non mi è piaciuto The mattress was a little too soft for someone with sciatica, but the owners kindly offered another mattress straight away, which we really appreciated.

Mi è piaciuto Everything here is amazing, hosts are great, really friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Our daughter loved it and even got upset when we had to leave.
Thankyou for a lovely couple days, we are looking forward to coming again soon.

Friendly and accommodating hosts
Easter eggs for kids was a nice touch!
Non mi è piaciuto A couple of teething issues but all were resolved very quickly including a problem with the hot water, the heater and an extra bed needed.
As others have mentioned a bit of a squeeze for 4 people.

Wasn’t a problem to us and certainly did not ruin our stay.
