Down on the Farm

A aimé We had a great time staying at down on the Farm! The 3 staff we met were so lovely and accommodating! letting the children feed the animals in the morning.
Everything was clean and tidy, the food was lovely and the cake was delicious!
We will definitely be back next year during the summer!

N'a pas aimé Not a dislike but a suggestion to maybe have the option to add play barn booking when booking a stay at a reduce cost. As what hard to keep the children away not understanding why they could not play.

A aimé Owners were friendly and very helpful. We camped in non-electric pitch close to toilets which was perfect for the kids. Very clean bathrooms and showers and great to have cafe/restaurant near by for lunch. Fun games for kids set up. We fed the goats which the kids really enjoyed! Very child friendly place!

N'a pas aimé Would have liked restaurant to stay open a bit longer for campers and perhaps an option to include price of outdoor play area for kids in camping cost.

A aimé We had a fantastic time camping here! All the facilities were spotless and replenished frequently. Food in the cafe was lovely. But most of all the owners were SO friendly and couldn’t help enough. Highly recommend.

A aimé Lovely site, great hosts and very helpful. Nice to be near the animals and woodland walk. Highly recommend. A fair price for it as well.

A aimé Was warmly greeted and shown to my pitch. Good toilet and shower facilities. Good Wi-Fi, I was able to watch Netflix on the evenings for hours with no lag.

Definitely a place for families or anyone wanting to escape into the countryside.

I recommend ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Worked wonders for my sleep as lots of nature and wildlife noises being a working farm.

A aimé Showers its so nice for decent showers on a campsite. Kids loved the play barn area even in the heavy rain still had a massive area to play and nice little cafe on site

A aimé The showers were beautiful although only 2 they are worth the wait (although we went early and didn’t have to). This is a new campsite so they may add more in future but don’t let some reviews put you off.
Washing up facilities again only one but we just had a little look and timed in between people again no issue at all.

Absolutely amazing setting we have two children with very different ages (1 and 11) and there was enough to keep both of them entertained, animals and games next to the pitches.

The cafe was beautiful and the coffee tasty, we also had bbq food and pizza the day of arrival as they stayed open late which was lovely.

The stars at night were exceptional.

N'a pas aimé My only very slight issue (but it was worth the money) was the additional charges for the playbarn, this is a business and a popular playbarn so should absolutely be charged, but may suggest a buy now scheme at the beginning of the stay rather than the charge each day so you feel like you have a small discount for staying, especially for extended stays. But we would absolutely come again and we would pay again too.
