N'a pas aimé Being told upon arrival that we wouldn’t be able to use our electric cool box because the site was quite full and other people on our circuit were using theirs too. We shouldn’t have been put in this situation given we had paid for EHU. Luckily after the first few hours the electric seemed to be holding up and we were able to use it.

Horrendous noise from groups of adults and children into the early hours, screaming and running around between tents. Security guard on two of the nights was more concerned we still had a fire on at 10:30 rather than dealing with the families shouting and waking up the kids.

Toilets were horrendous, absolutely filthy and often with no toilet paper. There should be seperate showers and toilets.

Activities were expensive and should be discounted if staying on the site.

A aimé Don't be put off by reading some of the negative reviews.
Great place to come and enjoy some quality family time. It can be a bit rowdy at the weekend but great to see kids actually being kids having fun rather than stuck on a device. The pitch is small but more than adequate. The staff are all so friendly and try there upmost to keep shower block clean and tidy. A bit more respect from guests would probably help. Overall we had a great long weekend and would come back.
Water sports were great and well worth the money.
Food from the cafe was great.
Shop was more expensive than the tesco round the corner but that's to be expected.
The bay horse inn 10 minutes walk away had the best Sunday roast ever!!! Well worth the £90 for 4, 3 course meals with drinks 🍸

A aimé We loved the “euro camp” feel and the shade of the tents in the trees (spot no6)
Toilet/shower area clean and tidy and bigger than most shower units. The shop and cafe on site fabulous and stock plenty of items. The water sports are great just a shame nothing for young children (3 years available)

N'a pas aimé A very poor experience. Arrived Thursday and walked into reception to be told their system stated we should have arrived two days ago, got out my booking confirmation from pitch up which clearly stated arrival Thursday. A younger lady with a red cap was very rude and had zero customer service skills. It was like I was a random person walking in asking if they could squeeze us on. Still very confused the two staff didn’t really know how to handle the situation and was talking about setting up an emergency pitch. I asked where should I wait and how long it will take as it was 5:30pm & I had two hungry toddlers in the back of the car.
Again, the staff still couldn’t advise much but told us to wait in the overspill car park. We did finally get on a pitch and had one free drink but overall the customer service we received was appalling. The toilets and shower block were disgusting. Would not recommend.

A aimé The water park is great with lots of staff on hand to help. Love the paddle boarding and would definitely go back just for that! The café serves basic food such as pizza and burgers but it's cooked very well. Every staff member we met were friendly and knowledgeable and the security guards patrolling at night gave piece of mind. Wi-Fi is a great addition and it's included in the price. A short walk away is the Bay Horse Pub - Amazing home cooked food and reasonably priced.

A aimé Fantastic campsite and facilities, very friendly and informative staff, brilliant for the kids. Will definitely Come back in the future!

N'a pas aimé My kids were too little for the aqua park etc I would of liked to see a small man made beach on the lake for the kids to paddle/splash about

A aimé Staff were excellent. We had a little incident with a child and first aider was very rapid and very helpful helped calm down the little boy. Thank you.

N'a pas aimé Noise after 11 was shocking even though the site rules said no noise after 11 this was going on till 1/2 am in morning and fires still light till late. They had security walking round but nothing was said. You either implement the role or don’t.

Our first night was peaceful and we had no complaints

N'a pas aimé Unfortunately, our overall experience was let down by several issues.
On the second night, a group playing loud music arrived. The music continued until around 1am, making it difficult to sleep. We reported the issue to staff the following day, and while the security team did a good job of making their presence known that evening, the music continued into the night again. We eventually had to speak to security four times before the music was finally turned off, allowing us to get a decent night's sleep.
The biggest disappointment was that the watersports centre and activities were not included for campers and were, in our opinion, significantly overpriced. We had hoped to use the climbing wall, but due to staff shortages, none of the climbing sessions went ahead during our stay. We were also told that open water swimming was not running at the time, yet later saw people taking part in swimming sessions. This was frustrating, as it was an activity we would have really enjoyed.
At the current prices, we don't feel the activities offer good value for money. For example, the climbing wall was £20 per person before any discount. By comparison, our local climbing centre charges £24 for two adults and two children for unlimited climbing, making the pricing here difficult to justify for a one-hour session.

N'a pas aimé Don’t think the price was worth what we paid. The water activities were expensive and not much to do around the area. Although there was a noise curfew the night times were loud due to other users. Toilets were brilliant when we got there but only 2/3 remained opened by the end and they weren’t the cleanest.

The pitch, the area, the price, the lack of things to do, the red ants nest they knew about because they came over with any traps which did nothing.

The place is just a dive.
