A aimé Lasshings of hot water in the showers, plenty of space to pitch. Friendly and helpful staff. Not far from the town of Atherstone for provisions.

A aimé Great Butchery Shop on site, portable toilets clean and dotted around the site whilst also having a small toilet block near the shop.

It’s great to hear you enjoyed having the butchery shop on site and found our facilities clean and convenient. We try to make the campsite feel rustic while still providing the essentials, with portaloos placed around the fields as well as our toilet block and shower facilities near the yard.

A aimé On this occasion the site worked, I arrived by bicycle.. 1st mistake was not checking elevation .. it’s on top of a 1.6km climb 😬 arrived late, made welcome decided to shower before going across to camp field.. basic field with portaloo spread around. Single no frills shower is basic.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry to hear that our campsite wasn’t the right fit for you.

As a rustic countryside campsite, we aim to provide a peaceful environment where guests can enjoy nature, wildlife, woodland walks, beautiful views, and stunning sunsets. Many of our visitors choose us specifically for this experience, so it’s disappointing to hear that it didn’t meet your expectations.

You arrived after our advertised check-in hours, but I still took the time to personally welcome you and show you around our family-run campsite to ensure you were settled in comfortably.

Regarding access from your pitch, there are two routes available: one involves a small incline, while the other follows a flat lane. Guests are free to choose whichever route best suits their needs.

In terms of facilities, we believe we offer a good range for a rustic camping experience, including a kitchen area with a fridge, kettle and microwave, two showers, drinking water, and both flushing toilets and portable toilets. All of these facilities are provided free of charge for our guests.

At £12, we work hard to provide a simple, affordable countryside camping experience with no extra charges for using the facilities on site. While we appreciate that rustic camping isn’t for everyone, we’re proud of what we offer and of the positive experiences enjoyed by many of our guests.

Hot shower.

Location great for stopping off in the way further south.

Facilities in a kitchen-ish space I didn't expect microwave, toaster, kettle.

N'a pas aimé Only 2 showers.

The inconsiderate people who flew a drone over my camp once the tent was up.

Presumably it was a neighbour have a party with really loud music late into the night.

Would be nice to have a quiet space to camp away from the buildings and animals.

I would not like to arrive late in the dark due to the lane, roads and track/grass passing tents so I haven't been able to return yet.

We’re sorry to hear a couple of things affected your stay. We do not allow drones to be flown over guests’ pitches and wish we had been made aware at the time so we could have dealt with this straight away.

Regarding the music, unfortunately the weekend you stayed a neighbouring farmer’s daughter was holding a wedding celebration in the evening. This was completely outside of our control and not connected with the campsite, but we completely understand that noise travelling across the countryside can be frustrating.

We do have quieter areas available further away from the main yard, buildings and animals, so if you do decide to visit again please let us know when booking and we’d be more than happy to help choose a pitch better suited to you.

The lane and track are part of our rural countryside setting, but guests are welcome to arrive during daylight hours and we’re always happy to help advise on the easiest arrival arrangements.
