A aimé What’s not to like? This place is stunning. The staff are amazing. From when you first arrive they walk around to show you your pitch. They keep toilets and showers clean. Views are amazing from anywhere on this site

We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the unbeatable views and found our team friendly and welcoming. Providing a peaceful coastal escape is exactly what Morfa Bychan is all about, so it's lovely to know you had an enjoyable stay.

We appreciate your comments regarding the WiFi. As we advertise, Morfa Bychan is very much a "get away from it all" destination, and many of our guests specifically choose us to disconnect from work, technology and the demands of everyday life while enjoying the scenery and tranquillity of the coast. For that reason, we do not promote strong connectivity across every area of the park. That said, we do recognise that some guests wish to stay connected, and we are continuing to improve our WiFi provision for those who choose to use the paid service.

We were also interested to read your comments regarding pitch spacing. Our touring development is still relatively new, with several of the pitches only introduced this season. While we appreciate that perceptions of space can vary from guest to guest, we have deliberately incorporated landscaping and greenery into the design, and further hedge planting is planned as the development matures. Having visited many holiday parks ourselves, we feel that the natural screening will help create an even greater sense of privacy as it establishes over the coming seasons.

A aimé Beautiful cliff top views, excellent swimming pool, very quiet particularly on our first night. Pleasant, helpful staff. Mature well tended gardens on parts of the site. Reasonable proximity to Aberystwyth but a good job we took our e-bikes! TV reception.

N'a pas aimé Very narrow, steep, long approach road that was quite an ordeal for our classic motor home! No pub or local shops in proximity. Not very well stocked on site shop. Some BBQ items would have been good and a coffee shop/bar facilities in the games room. You had to pay for WiFi but 5G just about good enough

We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the beautiful clifftop views, swimming pool, peaceful atmosphere and the friendly service from our team. It's also great to know you appreciated the well-maintained grounds and our coastal location.

We understand your comments regarding the approach road, nearby amenities and the shop. However, we would always encourage guests to thoroughly research their chosen destination before booking. The access road, our rural location, distance from local shops and pubs, and the facilities available on site are all clearly described within our listing and park information prior to reservation.

Likewise, our shop is advertised as a small convenience store stocking everyday essentials rather than providing a full supermarket-style offering. That said, we fully recognise there is scope to expand and improve this area, and this is already part of our development plans.

We are currently focused on completing our new washroom and facilities building, which has been a major investment for the park. Once this project is complete, our attention will turn to further improvements to the shop, office and reception areas, allowing us to offer a wider range of products and enhanced services for our guests.

Morfa Bychan's unique appeal has always been its peaceful coastal setting, spectacular sea views and escape from busy commercial areas. While this may not suit everyone's preferences, it is exactly what many guests choose us for and return to enjoy year after year.

A aimé The site is well looked after and it has beautiful views from the pitches. We stopped in Pitch 1 which had amazing views all around the site. I used to go as a child 50 years ago and will be coming back again. It has a woodland walk, access to a beach and an outdoor swimming pool that has a domed cover. The scenery around the site is fantastic.

We're delighted that Pitch 1 provided those amazing views that make Morfa Bychan so special.

We also appreciate your comments regarding the former clubhouse. While we understand why some guests might see a club, bar or restaurant as an additional benefit, the reality is that operating such facilities comes with significant costs. To make this financially viable, pitch fees and accommodation prices would need to increase substantially, which is something we know many of our guests would prefer to avoid.

Our philosophy has always been to offer a peaceful, relaxing coastal retreat rather than a busy entertainment-focused holiday park. Many of our visitors choose Morfa Bychan specifically because it provides an escape from noise, crowds and organised entertainment, allowing them to enjoy the tranquillity of the surroundings instead. We are fortunate to be surrounded by fantastic local pubs, restaurants, cafés and attractions, and we actively encourage guests to support these local businesses and experience everything the wider area has to offer.

As we continue to invest in the park, our focus remains on improving the facilities that enhance the relaxed and natural character of Morfa Bychan while preserving the peaceful atmosphere that so many guests return for year after year.

A aimé Swimming pool was a very lovely idea and made the holiday feel more special.

N'a pas aimé That I had to find my own pitch, got handed a map and left to it. Would have been better if an employee walked with us and guided us to the pitch.
I feel like the hotel could do more for example if they knew football was playing they could have organised an event instead of making us do it ourselves.

Thank you for your review, and we’re very pleased to hear that you enjoyed the swimming pool and that it added something special to your stay.

Regarding finding your pitch, our camping and tent areas work differently from our touring and motorhome pitches. Guests choose their own spot within the designated camping field, and our team shows you to the correct area rather than selecting a specific pitch. The park map you were given includes all facilities and layout information to help you settle in.

A member of staff also visited your setup shortly after your arrival to make sure everything was okay and to ensure you were not too close to the facilities. While we are always happy to help, we cannot operate as a 24‑hour concierge service — we are a peaceful coastal camping ground, not a hotel.

In terms of entertainment, we do not provide organised events or scheduled activities. A 10pm football kickoff is not something all guests would want to participate in, especially families with young children or those who come here specifically for the quiet atmosphere. Guests are welcome to enjoy the match together if they wish, but we do not run late‑evening entertainment.

We hope you had a relaxing stay overall, and we’d be happy to welcome you back again for another peaceful break by the coast.

Thank you also for mentioning the shop. You’ll be pleased to hear that once our new washroom building is fully completed, our next planned upgrade is the on‑site shop, including extra chillers and hopefully a small beer and wine section to give guests more choice. We also have improvements planned for the park facilities building, including the laundry area and even a possible dog wash, which many guests have asked for.

We’re continually investing in the park to make each stay even better, and feedback like yours really helps guide those improvements.

Thank you as well for mentioning the distance to the main facilities. Our Kestrel clifftop pitches are designed to make the most of the beautiful zeezicht, which does mean they sit a little further away from the washrooms and pool. Many Dutch guests tell us they’re not quite used to the Welsh hills — Holland is famously flat — so the walk can feel a bit more adventurous than expected.

We completely understand, and we appreciate you sharing that feedback with us.
