  • Under 15 minutes' drive from Aberystwyth
  • Outdoor heated pool, playground and games lounge
What a beaut. And it's an award-winner too: carve out as much time as you can to stay at Morfa Bychan Holiday Park, on a Ceredigion clifftop overlooking stunning Cardigan Bay. As you'll see from the pics, spectacular sea views are all around here, so you can be basking among these Welsh coast views as soon as you arrive (barbecues are allowed for those who prefer to bask among coastal views while their other half preps the alfresco eats). Beach access is a cinch too, as famed seaside resort of Aberystwyth is within six miles, and the park has direct access to its own pebble beach for shore walks, fishing, boating, rockpooling and surfing. There's loads of room for kids to run around on the park and on the beach; should they inexplicably tire of this, take them along to Morfa's pirate ship play area to swashbuckle and swing. The heated outdoor summer pool and spacious grassy area alongside are other popular family spots, as is the games lounge with board and computer games, TV, pool tables and air hockey. The friendly team are on hand to help with whatever you might need, whether it's assistance in getting set up when you arrive or sharing their tips on the (many) top places to make for in the region. There's a stack of tourist info at the site reception to aid your decision-making further and give you something to read while your other half sorts out the coffee…

What customers say

Awesome sea views, especially sunsets. Facilities usually clean & tidy. Staff are legends, super friendly & helpful. Kids love the playground & pool. Great for coastal strolls, but roads can be tight & it gets blowy. Some thought facilities were a bit old-school & Wi-Fi was pricey.

Buzzard powered grass tent, caravan or trailer tent site (sloping)

Liked Location of tent pitches close by to the park and toilets
The kids loved the swimming pool

Disliked Risk of badgers getting into tents 🙈

From the manager: Hi Stacey,

Thank you so much for your lovely review! We’re so pleased to hear you and your family had a great time staying on one of our Buzzard pitches. It’s great to know the location worked well for you and that the kids enjoyed the swimming pool — always a holiday highlight!

We had to smile at your note about the badgers — they do like to make the occasional nighttime appearance! We always recommend keeping food sealed and stored away, but we’re glad it didn’t take away from your experience.

We hope to welcome you all back again soon for more fun, sunsets, and seaside adventures!

Warm regards,
The Morfa Bychan Holiday Park Team

Buzzard powered grass tent, caravan or trailer tent site (sloping)

Liked Facilities were excellent. Super clean and plentiful.
Helpful staff on hand at all times.
Heated pool and a playpark that is located close to the tent pitches.
Great views and a lovely walk down to a rocky beach- great for crabbing and campfires.
Pitches are spaced out well and there arent so many that you feel crammed in.

Disliked Nothing that wasnt specified and nothing that would stop us returning but do take note of sloping pitches (minimal) and high winds! Both manageable and didnt spoil an amazing holiday.

From the manager: Hi Amanda,

Thank you so much for your fantastic review! We’re thrilled to hear that you and your family had such a great time staying on one of our Buzzard pitches. It’s lovely to know the facilities, pool, and playpark helped make your stay so enjoyable — and we’re especially glad the kids had fun crabbing and exploring the beach!

We really appreciate your kind words about the cleanliness and layout of the site, and your helpful note about the sloping pitches and breezy weather. It’s great to hear that neither took away from your amazing holiday.

We can’t wait to welcome you all back again soon!

Sunset Strip 2 bedroom static caravan (pet friendly)

Liked The children's park was excellent for our boys as it was close by to our caravan. As there was a big group of us as family it was nice knowing the children could wander freely around the site. My family have been coming to this site for over 50 years so it is very close to my heart. It was so lovely to be back to relieve old memories and create new ones.

Disliked Bed in the caravan was slightly uncomfortable

From the manager: Hi Rebecca,

We’re honoured to be part of your cherished memories and delighted that you were able to create new ones with your extended family this summer.

We’re so glad the children enjoyed the park and that the layout of the site gave you peace of mind. Your kind words about the facilities and sunsets mean a lot to us.

We’re sorry to hear the bed wasn’t quite as comfortable as it could have been — we really appreciate the feedback and will look into it to help improve future stays.

We hope to welcome you all back again soon for more unforgettable moments.

Red Kite fully-serviced gravel caravan site

Liked Amazing views, on the Saturday we were sat in our campervan just looking out to see and watched two dolphins swimming.
Staff are extremely helpful, very friendly when we arrived and walked us to our pitch, explained about the park and then you saw them during the day just walking around checking on areas.

Disliked No fault of the park, screaming kids. We would ask next time not to be next to the kids play park.

From the manager: Dear Emma,

Thank you so much for your lovely review and for sharing your beautiful photos — they truly capture the magic of Morfa Bychan Holiday Park! We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the stunning views and even spotted dolphins from your campervan — what a special moment!

It’s wonderful to know our team made you feel welcome and well looked after. We take pride in ensuring our guests feel at home, and your kind words mean a lot to us.

We completely understand your comment about the proximity to the play park. While we love seeing families enjoy their holidays, we’ll absolutely do our best to place you in a quieter spot next time for a more peaceful stay.

Thank you again for your recommendation and for choosing to stay with us. We look forward to welcoming you back soon!

Red Kite fully-serviced gravel caravan site

Liked View when we could see it.
Warden accommodating when we asked to move pitch

Disliked Pitch Red Kite 8 which was allocated to us had bushes so high you couldn't see the view unless you sat on top of the picnic table.
Moved to Red Kite 7 which was lovely until a Kontiki pitched up sideways front of us. No view again.
Large tent party with swearing kids and loud music .
Showers lack somewhere to put belongings down to keep dry.
At £45 a night, which you were paying for a view, no view.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Hi Kaye,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet your expectations. We understand how important the view is to many of our guests, and we’re glad our warden was able to assist in moving you to a different pitch. However, we regret that your view was still obstructed due to another guest’s setup.

We also appreciate your comments about the shower facilities. We’re currently reviewing ways to improve convenience and comfort in these areas, and your input is valuable in that process.

We hope you might consider visiting us again in the future, perhaps at a different pitch location, so we can provide the experience we strive for with every guest.

Local attractions

The Wales Coast Path runs through the park and is easily accessible via kissing gates. The path runs for a whopping 870 miles from Chepstow in the south to Queensferry in the north: potter the few miles to Aberystwyth and then – for the energetic – hike further for 10 miles on the linked Ceredigion Coast Path to its finishing point at Ynyslas. Aberystwyth, 15 minutes' drive away, has stacks to do in and out of peak season, including a harbour to wander around, the National Library of Wales and the Aberystwyth Arts Centre for indoor days, and a buzzing nightlife with pubs, gigs and eateries aplenty. The same distance in the other direction will land you at Llanrhystud, a popular spot in summer for beaches, watersports and fishing. Nature spotting and birdwatching are easily accessed in the area too, either under your own steam or via a dolphin and seal safari trip around Cardigan Bay. Ensure your marine mammal sightings – recommended if you possess fractious offspring – with a trip to the Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre at New Quay; boat trips can be booked from here too.
