A aimé Location is stunning. The views across the water were beautiful.
Staff were so polite and willing to help.
The shower block is like something you’d find in a 5 star hotel.

A aimé Staff were friendly and helpful. Facilities were nicer than hotels i’ve stayed in. Views were awesome. Was simply put a superb site, with absolutely nothing I could fault at all!

A aimé - Loads of space
- Some of the best facilities I've seen on a campsite
- Site is really easy to find and access
- Great staff, friendly, helpful and present. (I booked the wrong day by accident and they fixed my problem within minutes, no fuss, no drama).
- Nice people, dog friendly

N'a pas aimé - If you don't get a lake view spot then the views are a bit naff. It's one of those campsites where the good spots are very few and you need to get there early or be lucky.

A aimé We really liked the location and pitches on offer with views of Rutland Water. The site was busy, having stayed in the summer holidays, but it remained quite peaceful and relaxing for us and our dog - we can imagine it would be really lovely off season. We really liked the flexible check in and check out, allowing additional time to enjoy the views of the lake and relax. We also appreciated that campfires were banned, having recently stayed at a site that was actively encouraging them, despite the serious risk of wildfires this summer. The facilities were also quite fancy for a campsite, which was a nice bonus.

N'a pas aimé We didn't really dislike anything but in terms of practicality, the facilities and waste disposal were central to the site but meant they were quite far from pitches closer to the lake. It wasn't a problem and just more of a note.

Massive site so lots of space.

A aimé Lovely, welcoming site with good facilities - lots of clean hot showers and toilets in the wash block

A aimé We were warmly welcomed on arrival.
Shower block was high standard of decor and design.
Views (if you parked clearly and no one parked in front of you!) were beautiful.
Loads of space and lots of choice of where to go.
Ideal for children to run freely and safely.
Great sunsets.
Ice Cream van coming around the site each afternoon.
Great location for Rutland Water.

N'a pas aimé Not a dislike, just a comment: There are no shops anywhere near - so you need to be well stocked up on arrival if you don't want to drive. The huge reception hall was empty - I believe this will become a shop, which will do really well, as would a cafe.

No wifi at all, and very hard to get signal - could be a good thing or a bad thing!

The site is still a work in progress and will be interesting to return and see it all finished. Clearly has had huge investment already.

A aimé The views, the friendliness of staff. The toilet/shower block was amazing, best I've seen on any campsite, (might get a bit busy if the whole campsite was full though). Great location for exploring around Rutland Water. Nursery just up the road had a great cafe for breakfast or lunch if needed. There are also 2 pubs within 15 min bike ride in either direction.
