A aimé Location is stunning. The views across the water were beautiful.
Staff were so polite and willing to help.
The shower block is like something you’d find in a 5 star hotel.
Peaceful.

Réponse du gestionnaire : Hello, thank you for your kind review. We don’t like the flags either however we have unfortunately had to put them up as the longer grass that separates just isn’t growing so people couldn’t see what pitch they were on.

Hopefully, with a drop of rain, we will be able to get rid of them!

A aimé Nice big pitches, top notch facilities and helpful, friendly staff. Very well managed and maintained site.

A aimé Staff were friendly and helpful. Facilities were nicer than hotels i’ve stayed in. Views were awesome. Was simply put a superb site, with absolutely nothing I could fault at all!

A aimé Fantastic shower and toilet facilities , welcoming staff, plenty of space and great views.

N'a pas aimé Huge area but no dog run areas, dogs could not understand why they had to be on lead in a huge area

A aimé Great location with views over Rutland Water, excellent new facilities and welcoming friendly staff. Loads of space and not packed even in the school holidcays. Plenty of cyclling & walking routes on the doorstep plus opportunities for coffee & cake not far away. Shall be returning :)

A aimé Beautiful spot with modern facilities overlooking Rutland Water.
Very child friendly and secure

N'a pas aimé No facilities for disabled people. My mother is elderly and struggled without any support handles in any of the showers or toilets. Something that could easily be remedied.
The electric pitch is a bit of a con… pay extra for the pitch then pay for your electric via an app.

Réponse du gestionnaire : Hello and thank you for your review. We are currently waiting on all the equipment we need for our dedicated disabled toilet and shower room so that will should be up and running next time you visit us!

With regard to the electric, I’m sorry you feel like it is a con but I can assure you it is not. You have 8kwh of electric included in your pitch fee which is more than enough for most guests, however, if you are a heavy user, you pay for any excess you use over and above the 8kwh. Subject to you not going above your allowance, you should not of had to pay anymore than your pitch fee. If you feel like you have been charged for something you shouldn’t have been, please get in touch and we would be happy to look into this for you.

- Some of the best facilities I've seen on a campsite
- Site is really easy to find and access
- Great staff, friendly, helpful and present. (I booked the wrong day by accident and they fixed my problem within minutes, no fuss, no drama).
- Nice people, dog friendly

N'a pas aimé - If you don't get a lake view spot then the views are a bit naff. It's one of those campsites where the good spots are very few and you need to get there early or be lucky.

A aimé We really liked the location and pitches on offer with views of Rutland Water. The site was busy, having stayed in the summer holidays, but it remained quite peaceful and relaxing for us and our dog - we can imagine it would be really lovely off season. We really liked the flexible check in and check out, allowing additional time to enjoy the views of the lake and relax. We also appreciated that campfires were banned, having recently stayed at a site that was actively encouraging them, despite the serious risk of wildfires this summer. The facilities were also quite fancy for a campsite, which was a nice bonus.

N'a pas aimé We didn't really dislike anything but in terms of practicality, the facilities and waste disposal were central to the site but meant they were quite far from pitches closer to the lake. It wasn't a problem and just more of a note.
