Ago 26 2014 Publicado por Samantha Marsh

Pitchup.com offering term-time holidays at reduced rates

Savings of up to 53%

The holiday may be over for some but for those able to travel in September or October (or perhaps even for a weekend break) it’s time to grab a bargain as outdoor accommodation provider Pitchup.com launches its late summer savers.

  • Discounts of up to 53%

  • Peaceful sites now the crowds have returned home

  • Vast choice of locations across the UK and Europe

  • Wide choice of accommodation

Whether you are looking for a perfect spot to pitch a tent or a luxury lodge, there are plenty of deals available:

  • Cornwall is still one of the best holiday locations in the UK and September is a perfect time to visit and enjoy the last of the summer sunshine. Bude Holiday Resort is a 21-acre site which sits right on the coastline.  Travel early in September and you’ll still get the use of the heated outdoor pool, while the bar and diner stay open right into autumn.  Stay for a week on a grass pitch anytime in September and pay just £105!  That’s 53% off peak rates.

  • Peace in Pembrokeshire is what visitors who travel in the autumn will find.  With the main beaches, sights and roads less crowded, this picturesque part of Wales provides the perfect place for an autumn break.  Pitchup.com is offering 40% discount on non-electric grass pitches with sea views at Tregroes Touring and Camping Site.  At just £6 per night (down from £10) it leaves more money to spend in the surrounding shops and restaurants.

  • Couples can cosy up for 15% less in September in ‘Morgan the Shepherd’s Hut’ at Bryn Parc in Llandysul, West Wales. This pretty hut features a double bed, plenty of storage space, mini kitchen area, heating and a firepit and barbecue for outdoor dining.  The hut also has its own private bathroom with shower and toilet.  A two-night stay in September is down to just £83.30 from £98.

  • For something a little further afield Camping Bassegoda Park in Albanyà, Spain is offering a whopping 40% off two-night stays in their two-bedroom cabins from 21 September – 6 December.  These pretty cabins are fully furnished with spacious kitchen and dining areas and a living room with sliding doors which open up onto the large terrace, perfect for enjoying average September temperatures of 26 degrees.  Cabins sleep up to five people and are fully heated.  The discount means a two-night stay costs just £74.99 (down from £124.98).  The site itself is located in the heart of wine country so tastings from La Rioja and Cataluña are a must while there is hiking in the adjacent Alta Garrotxa Nature Park and plenty of history and culture to be found in the nearby towns of Sant Llorenc and Figueres.

About Pitchup.com

Founded in 2009 by former lastminute.com man, Dan Yates, multi-award winning Pitchup.com is a free guide to all types of outdoor accommodation in the UK, Ireland, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Croatia, Luxembourg, Austria, Poland and Switzerland. Pitchup.com, which currently lists over 5,800 sites, provides users with a simple platform in which they can search and book an outdoor holiday with total ease: the customer journey from landing on the homepage through to booking a holiday can be completed in as little as four pages.  The site also goes beyond traditional searches by allowing users to search for accommodation based on more than 80 criteria, such as adults only and campfires allowed, and view nearby events, Good Pub Guide pubs and VisitBritain attractions.  It’s also possible to check out water bathing water quality in the surrounding area with data provided by the European Environment Agency.  Users can also search on the offers page to find the best deals available.

In 2013 Pitchup.com became the first business of its type to launch a bookable mobile app and site, making the site easily accessible to users of mobile and tablet devices.  The mobile site now accounts for 19% of bookings.

Pitchup.com enables users to search for all types of parks and sites from the major brands right through to one-off campsites and unique outdoor accommodation options, which may not have previously had a web presence.
