No me gustó I accept its Scotland and rain is usual we came we prepared for a damp camp.
The Tent camp site is completely useless. basically two grassed hills 0 flat areas, no road or shingled path access just two muddy tire tracks half way up one hill which you will get stuck in. one or two 4 x 4s managed to get up there during dryer weather a day or so before but were packed face down hill to escape.
I checked out early and very politely aired my dismay at the inadequacies but the staff we completely indifferent and uninterested. We paid £300 to stay in the killin hotel instead. Again we came prepared for rain and mud etc. that's not an issue but trying to drive up steep muddy hills and destroying the grass is not worth it to then get utterly stuck. There should at least be a gravel track around the site to access pitches. I was most disappointed in the glazed look of indifference from the staff there and no i did not ask for a refund this is an honest review of the facilities for tent camping at that site.

Me gustó The loch the boathouse restaurant the staff were very friendly the scenery the cafe and the woman who worked there was extremely friendly and looked after us the campsite was clean and the toilets were always maintained

Me gustó Quiet. Plenty of space. Immaculate toilets. Powerful showers with hot water. Nice walk down to the loch.

No me gustó Water pressure in the toilet taps was a bit low.

Me gustó Beautiful views. Clean and functional facilities. Quiet and lovely if you went exploring and on-site and amazing wildlife spotting, which we loved.

No me gustó Check in procedure. I came with a caravan and had to go to the reception, 180 degree turn, back onto the road and back the way I came to get to the pitch. Could we maybe get our pitch number in advance or check in online?

Not criticisms but good to know:

Larger site with the reception block gets noisy with the hits of Taylor Swift belted out when we visited but plenty of quieter coves when you explored the woodland paths. Paths were slippy and muddy as you would expect in Scotland but good to be aware.

No me gustó No communal areas to sit and relax. Couldn't find anywhere to charge telephones. Only 1 picknic bench for the camping area, and that's not safe. Toilets and showers just acceptable

Me gustó Toilets wash facilities all good and clean. Site clean and tidy very well kept. Easily visible from the road. Food,small.shop and reception within walking distance. Good site for a one night stop over.

No me gustó No visible outdoor water source for campers. Conflicting information on arrival and departure times.booking co formation email said 2pm -11am when we arrived we were booked in for a 4pm arrival that we were not aware of and departure was now 10am ?. Very few flat grounded areas for pitching tents. "Path to the loch" was treacherous,dangerous and we were easily turned around in the heavily wooded area as no visable path to follow at times and no warning of very steep teraine.then to finaly arrive at the loch side to find there isn't even an area of ground to stand on just to stare thought the trees. Glad we were there as 2 adults and not as a family with our 3 kids. (Maybe sign post this).
