Dartmoor Halfway Inn

Me gustó The Pub was friendly and served good 'pub' food. Staff were very pleasant and accommodating.

The pub was literally a few steps away from the camping site - a real bonus.

No me gustó VERY (I mean a VERY) narrow driveway along to the (our) pitch.

The Caravan's jockey wheel had a real struggle on their thick gravel driveway and into (our) pitch - sinking into the gravel - putting a lot of pressure on the wheel.

For a full service pitch we booked, it was literally the smallest pitch on the campsite. If you wanted 'no' services (just a pitch) then the other pitches were a minimum of double the size in area.

The (male) toilet block had literally ONE toilet and two shower cubicles. For a campsite of this size, you'd expect more than one toilet.

To enter the site, there was no number plate recognition or anyone on the gate. Each time one had to press a 'call button' at the barrier - they would watch their monitor screen (from the pub's bar I assume), and then let you in.

Me gustó Easy to find off the main road, no narrow roads. Nice bays separated by hedges

No me gustó Only one toilet for men one for women for the whole site. Needed at least 2 each

Me gustó Lovely well organised site ,food at the inn was delicious, very clean shower/ toilet/ utility areas ,would recommend anyone looking for a quiet getaway

Me gustó Pitches were private and the pub was nice and the toilets/shower blocks were clean.

No me gustó Massive gravel road through the whole campsite so really dusty, there is only one ladies toilet (the rest are portaloos) and the toilets REALLY smell.

Me gustó Friendly team. Well laid out site that’s secure and dog friendly.

Great facilities with the pub/restaurant on site.

Very hot weather and demand on the cleaning staff was big due to the ‘full house’ but they worked very hard.
