Leonards Cove Holiday Park

Me gustó Good size shower rooms with plenty of hooks and racks for all the bits. Beautiful views of the sea, well stocked shop on site and village shop with Post Office is just 2 minutes walk away. Can see the church from the campsite with it's clock and can check the time without searching for the phone or a watch.

No me gustó The whole campsite is on the hill and none of the tent pitches are flat. Village church clock rings every 15 minutes day and night that can be very disturbing and certainly to be aware of. Parking is away from the tent and there is no separation between the pitches, so not much privacy on your pitch and lots of walking back and forth to the car. The main village road is just behind the wall of campsite and there was a bit of traffic all night what did not feel like you were on the countryside, but in the city. We stayed in the tent in the middle of the week in July.
In general, it's good, clean and well organised site. Just few things to be aware of before travel.

Me gustó We liked the village location, sea view, proximity to Dartmouth, bus stop outside the campsite, restaurant shop and pub in the village, friendly hosts and atmosphere, well maintained site, good hot water and effective WiFi throughout.

No me gustó Village church bells ring every 15 minutes every hour throughout the entire night. This affects sleep even with ear plugs if in a tent...not the campsite's fault of course! You do get more used to the bells as each day passes!
Ladies washing facilities would benefit from shelves above sinks...a good improvement in the mens also.

Me gustó Lovely location

No me gustó The pitches are very uneven and nearly impossible to level a Motorhome. The toilet block is poor and too small for the amount of people. There are no rubbish bins on the lower field. The owner has a large house on the edge of lower filed and had a party on the Friday so no sleep for the campers, on the Saturday one of the letting cottages on the edge also had a party site rules quite after 10.00PM this dose not happen.

Me gustó Absolutely loved our stay here! Pitches were a nice size, which meant a bit more room around the tent overall. The staff in reception were lovely. Everything is clearly laid out. Toilets and showers were exactly what were needed for a small tenting area. Lovely and quiet.
*Be mindful when booking of the local church bells ringing night and day, it didn't bother us, but remember that's not in the control of the campsite! That's why I will not put it as a dislike*

No me gustó The only thing was a big family in the area on multiple pitches, wandering around the pitches a lot with small children.
If we had stayed longer, we would've brought our windbreaker for a little more privacy, but that's down to us!
