What customers say
Lovely spot with sea views, close to village and amenities. Staff are super friendly. Facilities generally clean. Some pitches are sloped/tight, and church bells heard. Great Italian restaurant on site.

This was a local campsite for…
Electric grass tent pitch
Liked This was a local campsite for us to take family friends to trial camping for a few nights close to home. The short drive to Blackpool Sands was great.
Disliked Unfortunately our neighbours were incredibly noisy until the early hours of the morning - a message was sent to remind campers of the quiet times, but staff monitoring this may have been useful.
The pitches are incredibly close together, which became more obvious as the site became busier, and the pitches are all on a slope. We were unable to have the car on the pitch - even for unloading - which adds a challenge.
The facilities were clean enough, but there wasn't enough for when the campsite was busier, and there were no mops or anything to clean out the showers when done, so the floor was a bit slimy and slippery.

Ok
Electric grass touring pitch
Liked Tidy little site was quite good facilities nice little pub in the village and a Italian restaurant. There is a bus route which is quite good about every hour into Dartmouth.
Disliked The only dislike we had is the actual parking. It is quite steep even if you use chocks

Disliked Poor ablution block, not enough toilets and showers

Overall a well located and equipped site, but pitches are congested.
Electric grass tent pitch
Liked Nice location for accessing the coast path and great views over Leonards cove from pitch. Facilities nice and clean. Local village shop well stocked for supplies but be aware of opening times.
Disliked Unfortunately other large groups of campers were lacking in social skills and walked through our pitch numerous times and actually tripped on our guy ropes that were situated well within our pitch. Fortunately no damage was caused to our camping kit. Noise from the groups continued into the early hours of the morning.

Good size shower rooms with plenty…
Electric grass tent pitch
Liked Good size shower rooms with plenty of hooks and racks for all the bits. Beautiful views of the sea, well stocked shop on site and village shop with Post Office is just 2 minutes walk away. Can see the church from the campsite with it's clock and can check the time without searching for the phone or a watch.
Disliked The whole campsite is on the hill and none of the tent pitches are flat. Village church clock rings every 15 minutes day and night that can be very disturbing and certainly to be aware of. Parking is away from the tent and there is no separation between the pitches, so not much privacy on your pitch and lots of walking back and forth to the car. The main village road is just behind the wall of campsite and there was a bit of traffic all night what did not feel like you were on the countryside, but in the city. We stayed in the tent in the middle of the week in July.
In general, it's good, clean and well organised site. Just few things to be aware of before travel.

Electric grass touring pitch
Liked Location. View - great site and helpful staff
Disliked Hilly to level caravan but we knew that and bought chocks and wood. Site does supply these but could probably do with a few more.
Great site though.
