Me gustó Absolutely loved the location, the pitches were well set apart for space and privacy. It was quiet after 9Pm which was delightful. The footpaths and site itself was beautiful, emersed in nature. The facilities were well done and clean, The shop was fabulous too! definately will come back again.

No me gustó Only problem the toilet tissue ran out in one of the washroom areas, bins weren't emptied and the wash basins were out of order. But none of these things were an issue as the site was quiet, I suspect it could be a problem if there were lots of people in need.

Me gustó Very clean, tidy site. Caravan was large and well equipped, nice to have the deck area too. Very peaceful area and great dog walking field

Had to pay for WiFi but wasn't too much but factor this in if you have teenagers

Me gustó Really lovely site with great sized pitches that felt secluded whilst being close to amenities. Well provisioned shop, great local walks, clean shower and toilet blocks.

Me gustó This was a trial weekend for me to see how I got on with solo camping.
Kingsmead was the perfect venue for me.
I was on the Meadow (no electric hook-ups) It's a lovely big space, and soooo quiet! You could see every star at night too 😊
There were essential facilities on the field - bins, water and portaloos which were perfectly ok (I was expecting festival conditions - these were clean!) But the permanent block was only a short walk away, with wet rooms (shower, toilet, basin-great idea) and a fridge/freezer.
I absolutely loved my stay and will certainly return.

Me gustó Very nicely laid out site, lovely secluded woodland pitches and the open pitch area was also nice. Very friendly and helpful staff, good clean showers and toilets. The site shop has everything including camping accessories.
Most phone signals are bad but WiFi connection is very good value

Me gustó Really loved our stay so cute. The bedding was so crisp people very friendly I love the way all the pitches are slightly private.
Definitely would like to stay again
Private bathroom was definitely a surprise love that idea. Felt very cheeky.

Such a peaceful place to stay.
The owners are super friendly and even opened the shop late for us as we were running behind time.
They also helped us move our caravan and couldnt be any more helpful
The area is very quiet and has a friendly vibe and is the cleanest campsite we have ever stayed on.
Highly recommend stopping here, wish we had stayed longer.

Me gustó We stayed here August half term just me my partner and our dog. We opted to go for Daisy pitch as we didn’t want to be on a crowded field (like camp sites normally are in half term!) however a part of me wished I had booked the electric tent field as it is far from a crowded field and actually very spacious with only a few electric pitches on a large field. The facilities were perfect for us, plenty of toilets and showers. The washing up facilities was great plenty of hot water
The fishing lake at the bottom was great, I didn’t really seem to see much information on this or recent reviews regarding the fishing but the fishing is a general coarse lake suited to float fishing and feeder fishing, I caught a few carp around 2-3lb
The shop is well stocked and the staff are very very friendly.
We had a berghaus air 400 in daisy pitch and I wouldn’t really go any bigger than this

No me gustó 2 things I didn’t like,

The first thing is nothing to do with the campsite at all and is entirely me but I thought I’d mention it for people who might not have thought about it. The Daisy pitch is lovely and it is entirely your own pitch however there is no area where the sun shines through in this pitch, however it’s a woodland pitch so why would it!

Secondly, the dog wash station only has a cold water feed. Could do with having a mixer shower as my dog was shivering whilst we gave him a wash, also the dog wash station was rather dirty and seemed to be blocked so the dirty water had nowhere to drain, this is a minor and is literally the only thing we didn’t like about the camp site

Me gustó Trees and ponds made the site a lovely place. Very good showers and WCs.
Nice to find somewhere cool under the trees when it was so hot.
We took our own tent, but the site has many options.
Friendly welcome, good shop.

No me gustó Trying to reverse into Primrose plot could be challenging for some drivers who have a larger car. Lucky we had a small car.
