Surfer's Paradise Campsite

Me gustó Great location and easy check in.

No me gustó Shower/toilet facilities were much dirtier than in past years. Only seem to be cleaned once mid-morning so they were filthy from the day before when using them first thing, sand and paper towels all over the floor. Prices have increased a lot in the last few years which doesn’t reflect the cleanliness of the facilities.

No me gustó This year the reception on site didn’t open at all (we were asked by phone the day before to go to the main Ruda reception). I’d like to have used the freezer for ice blocks like previously
It is expensive for lack of facilities and regardless of tent size it seems a standard price which is annoying when some tents are huge and some house one person .

Me gustó Aaah, what a magic spot! We had a beautiful weekend and adore this spot. Some lovely shaded areas and loads of sunshine if you need. Good facilities and right near everything you need, including the best beaches in North Devon, if not the UK!

Me gustó Really great site. About 10mins lazy walk to the beach. And same in the other direction to Croyde for dinner and drinks.
Decent sized field. Fairly flat (didn’t use chocks). Hot showers. Flushing toilets.
Easy to check in. No stress from management.

No me gustó A sink to wash up dishes etc, would be useful.
Book early as surge pricing.

No me gustó As we came into the campsite, the reception porta cabin had a sign saying back in 5 minutes so we waited a while and it wasn't until we looked around that on the other side of said this is closed and to call the security number. Was told to come to main reception but there were no signs and the main reception was called Ruda Campsite which we were confused at as that was not the name of our campsite so that was a bit confusing.
Also as we were checking in we were told to pitch up anywhere as it was quiet but I feel for this reason, the bathrooms were not cleaned or maintained the 3 days we were there. On the sign outside it says cleaned every day between 10-11. We did not see one cleaner and by Wednesday the showers and toilets were pretty grubby so that unfortunately really let it down for us.

Me gustó Fantastic location, good price and nice big flat pitches

No me gustó The toilets/showers weren’t cleaned for the 3days we were there and there was sick in the men’s sink for days. There were also no bins in the ladies toilets so people were just leaving their dirty sanitary products on the floor next to the toilet. There was also no bin in the washing up area which meant people had no where to put any food waste which may be leftover in the sink after washing up. This meant the sinks were very dirty.

Me gustó Excellent location, very near to beach and 5min walk into town. Reasonably priced and relatively flat pitches. Good shower and toilet facilities

No me gustó Toilets weren't cleaned for the entire duration of our 2 night stay. There was vomit in one of the sinks at 7.30am (from a drunk, no doubt) and still there at 6pm, despite a sign saying toilets were deep cleaned each morning between 10 and 11. No paper towels to dry hands, and floors filthy. Tried to report but reception hadnt been open all day called parent site (Ruda) at 5.30pm and no answer either!
