Surfer's Paradise Campsite

Mi è piaciuto How quiet our field was, how close to the beach and village you are too. Loads of space between each tent/van.

Non mi è piaciuto The toilets and showers could have been cleaned more frequently. Although it is also up to the guests to shower off the buckets of sand they bring back from the beach before even approaching a shower! Maybe and outdoor tap to rinse off legs and feet outside of the shower block would help?

Mi è piaciuto Location - Very short walk to the beach. 5 mins to the village. Ideal for us.
Perfect for keen surfers & beach bums!
Space - although busy, there was plenty of space for everyone and we didn’t feel crammed in.
Facilities - ok, toilets grubby and lacking essentials particularly at busy times but I’ve seen worse camping toilet cubicles!
Family friendly.
Advised on arrival of two fields available one quieter for families one a bit more free for all, went for the free for all as our kids are older and sleep through anything. We only had one issue with someone coming back and blasting (and really do mean blasting!) D&B AT 1.30am, even that didn’t wake the kids mind you. But it was short lived, not sure if security came over or they realised the time!
Able to use facilities at Ruda such as the pool but my advice is to email about 10 days before and get your reference number and book your swimming sessions in asap particularly in the half terms. We got ours booked but many didn’t and it was a case of luck if someone didn’t turn up to their booking for a lot of families.

No freezer facility for ice blocks etc.
No plug in the sink at wash up station.

Mi è piaciuto Fantastic location, awesome space and great team looking after the place. Plenty of piping hot water. Great camp site.

Non mi è piaciuto The loos and showers immediately by the path can get in quite a state, taps run too fast and flood the sinks, making it wet and sandy, perhaps a coded lock on the door might help???

Mi è piaciuto Beautiful location in the heart of Croyde Bay. Perfect site for the beach, village (pubs, shops and ice cream) and club house. Toilets and showers are a good size, enough pressure, warm enough and cleaned regularly. The plots are not mark so great for family camping.

Non mi è piaciuto The toilets being used by visitors to the beach, who do not always respect them. Very quiet this year which we understood the cabin was closed and had to go to the main reception but was always convenient when charging phones, using the freezer and the odd cold treat.

Non mi è piaciuto Shower/toilet facilities were much dirtier than in past years. Only seem to be cleaned once mid-morning so they were filthy from the day before when using them first thing, sand and paper towels all over the floor. Prices have increased a lot in the last few years which doesn’t reflect the cleanliness of the facilities.

Non mi è piaciuto This year the reception on site didn’t open at all (we were asked by phone the day before to go to the main Ruda reception). I’d like to have used the freezer for ice blocks like previously
It is expensive for lack of facilities and regardless of tent size it seems a standard price which is annoying when some tents are huge and some house one person .
