Me gustó Absolute gem of a place. We stayed in the Rowan Bell tent it was fantastic, beds were so comfy and it had absolutely everything we needed and more. Bathrooms were spotless and kitchen area was great never had amenities like it when camping.

Me gustó Beautiful little spot out of the way but close enough to get to the places you want to go too.

Fab added extras i.e the little coffee shop with snacks is a lovely touch. Beautiful and clean washroom too was very impressed really enjoyed the site.

Also felt very safe on the site as a solo women traveling. The only thing what comes to bother you is a naughty crow at 5am waking you up on top of the tent rather loudly 😂🤣

Me gustó Spacious, clean, brilliant kitchen unit accessible to all, clean and warm wash facilities. A wonderful little shop with a coffee machine. Fire pits, wood and fire lighters available for a small fee well worth it and very much needed with the wind.

Me gustó We booked a few pitches to celebrate a friends birthday - between us we had 3 couples, two with kids spread across 3 pitches. We all said it was the best spot we’ve camped so far!

The communal spaces were very clean, well maintained! The showers and toilets were a godsend! Not like other places I’ve stayed where we’ve needed sliders to keep clean after cleaning haha!

The communal fridges were a nice touch - we did bring our own mini fridge as we didn’t expect this, so it’s super handy and helpful for those packing lighter!

The shop was well stocked, grateful as we forgot ketchup for our bbq! Pitches are quite spaced apart however well connected and easy visibility towards toilets and car park, so the kids could roam a little without us being too worried.

Location was spot on, really close to the dam, however no noise from roads or traffic. We could see the cows and horses which the kids loved! We also got to see a hare running around as we sorted our tents, and plenty of birds to watch and listen out for.

Owners were lovely too. We had a welcome message from Sarah while we were on route, and any questions I had were answered via texts so we knew we were in good hands.

Me gustó Lovely spacious pitches, well set out. Showers were amazing - nice and hot. My teens enjoyed the coffee machine!

Me gustó The pitches were the best I have seen. Very big and private. Cars had to be parked in a car park and wheelbarrows provided to take luggage to your pitch. No check-in needed so we didn't interact with the owners or any staff. The facilities were lovely, good shower and a kitchen with everything in it you need. It was very quiet for a bank holiday, only 3 other tents so having only 2 toilets wasn't a problem. Location wise, near to Whitby and Saltburn. However, Storm Dave hit us on Saturday night and we had to abandon our tent and sleep in our car. It was very scary, next day our tent was damaged and everything was wet so we had to cut our visit short. 😞. As the camp is very exposed to the elements, which is beautiful on a nice day, it was not so beautiful in a storm! I can see lots of new trees have been planted which will afford some protection when they have grown. The weather can't be helped though and the one night we had in our tent was nice.

No me gustó The communal towels in the toilets. This is just my preference as I don't think it is hygenic to share a towel. Not a problem, I just took my own towel to the washroom with me.

Me gustó enjoyed every minute. the toilets s d showers were immaculate and very warm. Everything was accesssble and clean would highly recommend a wi d breaker.

No me gustó very windy. obvs the north yorkshire weather and out of season trees are planted so this may help in the coming years

Me gustó Welcome message sent with all the information we needed to get settled. Further information was available in the caravan about the site, the van, and local amenities. Well appointed communal kitchen is available but as we arrived in one of the worst storms I have even camped in we were very appreciative of the fancy coffee machine and 'shop' available in what looks like an adapted horse box. This stocks a range of hot and cold drinks, snacks and basic food items and some fancier local treats, accessed via a ramp. The shower and toilet block was immaculate and really warm inside, well lit and with facility for hairdrying etc., access via step. The gypsy caravan itself is lovely and a really quirky place to stay for a night or two. There is a small heater provided which was more than adequate to keep it warm even through the weather we camped through. Wifi is available across the site and soft lighting provided in the van with fairy lights and battery operated tea lights. We loved the van, but I might suggest it isn't ideal if you are fairly tall. Overall the site is well appointed and thought out and has everything you could need for a glamping break.

No me gustó There wasn't really anything negative to say. Tiniest little niggle - the information folder said there were instructions on folding down the bed and they were missing. However, the farm were fab and sorted straight away sending over a really clear video of the process which was super easy to follow. The ramp to the shop might be a little steep if using a chair.

Me gustó Amazing set up. Everything was clean and close by. The showers were amazing too. The little honesty shop on site is the best idea I’ve seen at a campsite.

No me gustó It’s not really a dislike but the WiFi is a little hit and miss but majority of the time it’s good!

Me gustó Everything. Great amenities toilet/shower block etc always kept clean by the owners. Nice little shop and kitchen .Lovely views across the moors family really enjoyed the experience .I will be booking again
