Me gustó Very clean, approachable staff that were very professional and helpful.
Good location with an Uber costing around £10 to get to the centre of York.
spacious pitches and not money grabbing (very appealing as many sites are now)
The bar is a nice atmosphere and the drinks were very reasonable, I really like that they are not greedy and because of that it's an absolute gem and I would highly recommend, I will be returning again soon.
Absolutely fantastic facilities including a hairdryer (again FREE) and lovely toilets.
Bring your rock pegs as the ground is a bit hard but wasn't a problem for us!

No me gustó The £60 deal for three nights when booking with them direct is only for campers and caravans not tents.

Me gustó A really lovely and well maintained adults only site. Impeccably clean toilets and hot showers, friendly staff and a great on-site bar with indoor and outdoor seating as well as pizza/ burger food options to save firing on the stove after exploring/ relaxing.
The nesting swallows near the washing up area were an added entertainment bonus!
Will definitely be returning.

Me gustó Reception/ bar area very nice . Staff very welcoming and helpful. Wash rooms modern and very clean . G. Papa J’s Pizza van and breakfast on weekends .
Flat / level pitches for tents , caravans and motor homes. Campsite rules enforced.

Me gustó Wife and I camped at Flaxton Meadows for 4nights, we were greeted on arrival and shown to our pitch which was a very good size, showers and toilets where very clean. Onsite bar was very nice along with a covered outside seating area, and the onsite pizza station is a gem.. all the staff are so polite and very welcoming, if you'd fancy a walk they have a folder of many walks you can enjoy. Or ya can just kick off ya shoes and just sit back and relax as it's so peaceful. I could carry on rating Flaxton but why not just book and go you won't be disappointed. We had a peaceful break and would highly recommend, wouldn't hesitate to rebook.

Me gustó The whole vibe!

I tented on my own as a mature female single camper.
I sat in the bar in the evenings and chatted.

The welcome as I arrived was friendly and there were always lots of staff around with friendly smiley faces.

The shower and toilet facilities were new and beautifully clean.
