No me gustó Only one shower which was in the only female toilet.
Wash up facility was quite a walk from the campervan pitches.
Was quite expensive bearing in mind the limited shower etc

Me gustó The campervan pitch with the hot tub, log burner and table. Great space to use, especially as the weather was crap at the time.

Although you weren't far from residential it felt like you were in the middle of nowhere and it was a great location next to the lakes.

It was pitch black and very quiet at night.

No me gustó The hard standing pitch was flooded so maybe they need better drainage.
We weren't to impressed with the takeaway door onsite but that's just tour opinion

Me gustó Up there as one of the best sites we’ve ever stayed at — honestly, what is not to like?!

Beautiful scenery, with the lakes and large ponds surrounded by wildlife including fish, turtles, ducks, goats and more. It’s peaceful, tranquil and just a lovely place to unwind.

The site is within walking distance to the Locomotion museum which is free to enter and an amazing day out! Definitely another selling point of the site for families and train enthusiasts alike.

There’s a great play park for little ones, and a fantastic bar serving a brilliant range of food and drinks. We opted for pizzas and chips as a ‘takeaway’ to eat back on our pitch, and they did not disappoint. In fact, the chips were quite possibly the best we’ve ever had!

All of the staff were lovely, but a special mention has to go to the owner, who genuinely went above and beyond for us. The site is also a wedding venue, and you can really see the attention to detail throughout — everything is just so well thought out and beautifully maintained.

And lastly… THE SHOWER! Honestly, it’s better than our shower at home! Luxurious, hot, incredible water pressure, with a HUGE rainfall shower head as well as jets. Absolute heaven after a day out.

We’re already planning our return and would love to try one of the private hot tub pitches next time — they look absolutely stunning.

This is a MUST-TRY site. We stayed with our young children and they loved it just as much as we did. A genuinely restful, relaxing stay in a beautiful setting.
