Me gustó Great back to basics camp, simple and in full nature. 1 min from Salhouse board. Fire pits available and portaloo for toilets.

No me gustó No proper toilets or showers but that is the rustic appeal. So it’s no problem for us.

Me gustó Ranger very friendly, checked all was okay on first day. Clean portaloos/access to water.

No me gustó Not much signage leading to campsite/some signs broken. Wasps in the ground (someone did come to smoke them out but this angered the wasps and several of my party got stung). Uneven ground, holes and whole field on a tilt.

We’re sorry to hear you had a few issues during your stay. Regarding the signage, we do try to provide clear directions in the confirmation email, but we’ll definitely take another look at the on-site signs to improve the arrival experience.

We only became aware of the wasps late on Friday and acted quickly to address the issue, not realising it might aggravate the nest further. We’re truly sorry that some of your party were stung — had we known at the time, we would’ve done our best to support you on site.

As for the ground, we’ve recently moved pitches in the camping area and are still fine-tuning the layout. We do aim to make each pitch as level and comfortable as possible and appreciate your feedback — it helps us improve for future guests.

Me gustó Fabulous little campsite in excellent location. Loved being so close to the Broad where we could launch our SUP and Kayak. Wildlife in abundance. Pub within walking distance. What's not to like???

Also Friendly warden, clean toilets. Good recycling

Me gustó It's a nice and quiet campsite. Very basic. Portable toilets vere clean enough. Fire pits available for use. Very close to the Broad and you can launch for free if you are staying at the campsite.

No me gustó Lack of any kind of sink to clean anything or even brush teeth.

Me gustó peaceful and picturesque site with plenty of wildlife and easy access to the Salhouse Broad.

No me gustó composting toilet is definitely something to be experienced and not for the squeemish.

Me gustó Very natural and peaceful. Like wild camping - which is what we wanted - but with a loo, drinking water and peace of mind. Very lovely location just yards from the Broad. Easygoing site manager.

Me gustó Beautiful location just metres from the broad. Very friendly ranger on duty. Hired a canoe next morning for a paddle round (discount for using public transport). Facilities are limited (no showers) but the location makes up for it.

Me gustó Beautiful picturesque location adjacent to Salhouse broad. Great for wildlife observation. Adequate portable toilets which are kept clean.

No me gustó Close proximity to footpath making it a bit noisy at times. Also there is a locked gate at the site entrance with a code for access for campers, but there’s a gate at the bottom for anyone to enter from the public footpath, so the security measures were a bit pointless. Having no vehicle access to the site makes it a bit difficult if you have a lot of gear to carry across from the car park to your pitch.

I know it seems strange to have only one locked gate; from experience the locked gate is where members of the public try to get access, however, we take note of your feedback.
