No me gustó No reception area so contact by phone. Google Maps didn’t know direction to The Beeches postcode sent across road & no brown sign therefore difficult to locate as site at the back of small factory unit. Toilet block needs drastic improvement. Shower tray badly stained so reluctant to use shower. No double door access to female shower & toilet room so no privacy when outer door opens! Cold water in washing up sink but was fixed.

Del administrador: Anonymous, thank you for leaving a review on our site. We are glad you liked the orchard effect but there are so many other things about the site you have not covered. We have invested so much time, work and expense into this site and we love this site as others do. We do have a reception area which we are working on but this takes time. Our signage is clear at the bottom of the driveway as our instructions on booking for you arriving.
The toilet block you mentioned has had a complete revamp this year at a considerable amount of time, work and expense. I think we can agree that The Beeches is not for you as it is aimed at families. Perhaps you didn’t see the large amount of children’s play equipment too? I find your review unbalanced and quite unfair. You mark us down very poor on customer service but seemed happy enough talking about your job and links to Henlow? Yes I’m answering this now. Not sure what you expected us to provide as we are open and honest in our descriptions.
I wish we could rate those who visit us too. Seemed happy enough but possibly your mind was made up very early on and all you were able to see was negative? This was never apparent in face to face discussions though which is very unfair.You’ve done the same as a previous negative review in nit picking. I’m highlighting this your expectations were too high as we are not a 5 star service with a 1 star price! In the words of Shakespeare “Expectation is the root of all heartache”. Enough said

Me gustó Brilliant site for our first camping trip.. shower block and toilet facilities were spotlessly clean as was the washing up area.. all well maintained throughout the day.. friendly and helpful wardens, we were made to feel very welcome. Play area was a bonus and again plenty for the kids to do. Lovely walks for the dog. Pitch was level, good security and you can rent a firepit and buy logs onsite.. road noise wasnt as bad as some say . Looking at coming back again soon 😀

Me gustó The site is clean and tidy, showers were free not as others have mentioned. Great site friendly wardens really helpful. Little road noise but nothing earplugs can’t sort

Me gustó Beautiful site, very well maintained, great play area for children & gorgeous sunset views across the fields. Shower / toilet block was immaculate. Great security, which as a female solo camper, was much appreciated. Lovely management, very helpful and kind. Will definitely be back.

No me gustó You can hear the noise from the road slightly but it honestly didn’t bother me or affect my stay at all.

Me gustó Wasn’t very busy. Plenty of space. Toilet and shower were ok.

No me gustó Traffic noise kept me awake first night. Ear plugs sorted it for other two nights we were there.

Me gustó Really friendly and quiet site. Owner was really nice and friendly. Had a really nice site. Facilities were really handy and the play area was great.

No me gustó We were aware this was on a busy road and were fine with this. But the traffic is pretty consistent through the night

Me gustó Stayed here for the night with my daughter. Lots of play equipment for her to explore and entertain her. Dawn, Lee and Mick were super friendly chatting to us at length. Nothing to much trouble for them. Great value and my daughter already wants to know when we're returning. Thanks

No me gustó Place is very run down. Big tents filled with rubbish. Spoken to someone else on site and said it was packed with things to do, but now the owner is poorly so unable to do as much (which we are sorry to hear) we stayed one night, noisy near the main road

We do disagree that our site is run down, you seem to overlooked the fact we are continually maintaining and updating everything on our site. This takes time and we try to avoid this when we have visitors.
Big tents full of rubbish, well we do have a marquee which has recently been cleared of owners belongings. Our wood store we have had destroyed by strong winds and this will be removed. Yes it is a poly tunnel but remains functional in protecting the wood we need to do projects. At the end of the day, I think we can safely say that The Beeches is not for you. It is a site we are continually working on and improving on. Most people see the good things we are doing and we will continue to do this.

Me gustó We only stayed for one night without electric hookup (£16). A basic site but had all amenities. Ideal stopover after travelling from the North down the A1 enroute to Cromer. The site is literally next to the A17 so expect road noise.

Me gustó Our pitch could not have been any closer to the disabled facilities as requested. The facilities were kept clean.

No me gustó Greeted by a couple sat by the gate who didn’t introduce themselves! No evidence of any wardens all weekend, other than one trying to cut the grass (what grass as the ground was covered with bits of wood!!) The ground was uneven and very stony. The site felt very untidy and run down with a very tired looking play area.
No wifi
Access to the site was a bit hard to find and could be signed better and more clearly. The constantly closed gate felt unwelcoming.
Disliked the sharing of what were a small number of facilities with the number of people needing to use them. Only a small number of toilets etc. only one sink for washing up!! No facilities for washing laundry 🤷🏻‍♀️
We had our grandson staying with us (aged 7) and he was challenged (by who we thought was staff although you couldn’t tell) for playing with wood which was in the play area!
Not top of my list I’m afraid and we will not be returning.

Okay where do I start. The couple you met were the wardens. How did you know where to pitch?Everyone is welcomed by them and you would have been no different.
The wood you so kindly mentioned is around kids play area equipment and keeps wood chip in around the said apparatus and is there as part of the safety overall. We take this very seriously.Moving this is why your beloved child was asked not to. We are not there to childmind. Incidentally, the children’s play equipment is within the wooded area of the site and children do tend to play with sticks and are freely there so that they can be allowed to do, in being children? No mention was made by your grandchild when they moved piles of small stones onto the pitch and politely asked not to do this as well as moving flag markers on the ground. This had to be put right after you left.
We spend a lot of time maintaining the site, everything has been repainted to look fresh, I fail to see how you feel the site is run down and tired. Many people compliment us on how well they think the site looks and we as a team work tirelessly to maintain this.
Sorry we do not have an onsite laundrette. There is no call for this and would bump up the price of the stay. Wi-Fi is something we choose not to have onsite not only due to the price but it encourages children to play outdoors and this has been specifically complimented.
We take the security of the site and those who choose to stay with us seriously hence why the metal gates. These serve a purpose as we have installed these after a very unfortunate incident in the past.
Again I am sorry you felt the ground was uneven, this is an ongoing struggle with local wildlife which digs this up. I do take onboard your point on the signage which we have increased this year but this is obviously not enough?
We consider our facilities to be more than adequate for what we offer.
I think we can agree that The Beeches is not for you. Maybe your expectations were too high. Lots of people find us ideal for their requirements which we strive to welcome back. In the words of our late monarch
“Perhaps we make too much of what is wrong and too little of what is right. The trouble with gloom is that it feeds upon itself and depression causes more depression”
