Parklife – the UK’s biggest metropolitan music festival – takes over Manchester with pop, rock, house and grime on an annual basis. Barely 15 years old, it’s the brainchild of the acclaimed Warehouse Project team and has gone from strength to strength since launching in 2010. In between relaxing at the chill-out zones and admiring the art installations, watch music icons as diverse as hip-hop legends Wu Tang Clan and indie rockers Foals.
While you can’t stay overnight at the event, you can book a campsite near Parklife Festival. Manchester is nestled among some of the UK's most scenic countryside, so you can pitch up in beauty spots like the Pennines or the Peak District.
