A calmer version of Bestival, Camp Bestival is the brainchild of BBC Radio 1 DJ Rob Da Bank. This family-friendly music event near Dorset’s millenia-old Jurassic Coast attracts around 10,000 adults and kids each year. It’s also themed: 2022 will see the grounds of the venue, Lulworth Castle, transform into a desert island disco with action-packed circus shows held under swaying palm trees.
If you’ve booked a day, rather than a weekend, ticket you’ll need to stay off base at a campsite near Camp Bestival. Pick from places where you can cool off in the River Frome, soak up glorious views of the Purbeck Hills, or sleep in luxury at glamping accommodation set on historical estates.
