What customers say
A simple, affordable campsite with a relaxed vibe, loved for its friendly hosts and prime spot. Basic but clean facilities are fine for most. Farm animals are a treat. Some mention toilet paper woes, noise, and limited showers (though new ones are in!). Pitches can be a bit of a scramble and close together for some. Great value and near the sights.

Non-electric grass motorhome pitch
Liked Loved the friendliness and relaxed atmosphere plus free showers! seems like a lovely gift in these times of watching pennies.
The toilet block was always clean and had loo roll.
We stayed next to the piggies, which was another treat.
Easy walks to lots of climbing so no need to drive, which was so good.
Walk to the shops too.
No frills but what do you need when you're camping? Love it!

Basic, honest no frills camping. Loved it.
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch (two person)
Liked Super location - a short and very pleasant countryside walk to Church Ope. Ideal for exploring Portland - nothing is more than a few minutes drive away. Site was well maintained - clean - good but basic facilities. All you need. My lad and I spent two nights in the field on a spear fishing trip and loved it. Managers are nice chaps who visited the site a couple of times a day. They’ll answer the phone if you need to get hold of them. Absolutely great value price for a non-electric pitch. We’ll be back next August as I can’t think of a better spot for needs and activities. Cheers lads 🍻
Disliked I’m being picky here as I can’t think of much to add - but I guess the hand soap dispenser could be filled in the Gents. No biggie though, we brought our own.

Maybe a few more visible ‘camping guidelines’ could have helped here?
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch (three person)
Liked Easygoing - three fields - lots of space
Disliked Someone pitched their tent right next to our’s so guy ropes were almost touching. There were loads of other spaces to choose from. They arrived back late and then made noise well into the night! Because of this we packed up and left the next morning.
