  • Well-appointed nine-acre site in the north Norfolk countryside
  • A 10-minute drive to the coast at Cromer; half an hour to the Broads
  • Fishing lake, woodland walks, goat enclosure and e-bike hire
Keen to make the most of everything north Norfolk has to offer on your holiday? Deer's Glade Caravan and Camping Park makes an excellent base for a break – this family-friendly spot is in a strategic location surrounded by woodland but about 10 minutes’ drive from both Aylsham and the coast at Cromer. That setting means you’ll be able to head straight out into the woods (and onto public footpaths beyond) for a peaceful walk whenever you like, but you’ll also be in a great position for getting out and about – to the beach, to the Broads National Park or to one of the area’s many attractions, be it a stately home, a steam railway or a family park. It’s not all about heading out though, as there are nine acres of land to explore right there on site, with the chance to spot deer in the woodland if you’re quiet (and a little bit lucky…). Guests are welcome to fish at the site’s lake, and there’s also a play area and a goat enclosure to keep younger family members amused. The site also has lots of handy facilities including a shop, a wifi service, a launderette, a chemical disposal point and bathrooms with toilets and showers (including wheelchair-accessible facilities). You can also hire e-bikes here for easy jaunts around the surrounding area – and perhaps to one of the lovely local pubs?

What customers say

This neat, tidy site has roomy pitches & brilliant facilities. Staff are always friendly & helpful, shop's well-stocked. Great for exploring the coast. A few guests suggested more showers in busy times & some Wi-Fi trouble. Peaceful, with play areas & goats.

Electric hardstanding and grass pitch (deluxe)

Liked Short drive to Cromer which was beautiful, site was clean and tidy, toilets and showers clean and never busy. Site shop was handy and the employees were really friendly and helpful.

Disliked We were pitched right next to the road and path close to the shower block so was quite noisy with the amount of footfall passing out pitch.

Electric grass pitch (deluxe)

Liked The whole park is well kept and a welcoming space. We found our pitch had more than enough space for our tent, gazebo and two cars.
The food trucks were a great option and the shop on site had a good selection available.
Our kids are older so we had requested that our pitch be further away from the play area. This was accommodated with no issue which we greatly appreciated.
The kids loved exploring the site and talking to the goats. It's also a perfect location to explore the surrounding area, which we absolutely did.
We also loved being able to see so many stars. Definitely a great spot to watch the night sky, as well as watch the bats. It felt like a remote location even though it is within easy access of lots locations.
The rules around quiet times were appreciated. We found everyone at the site respected this for the most part (always one of course who decides it doesn't apply to them)

Disliked The toilets were kept clean and tidy but the only thing we feel could be improved is if there were a third block as there were certain times, especially in the evening between 7pm and 10pm when you would need to queue for quite a while.

Electric hardstanding and grass pitch (deluxe)

Liked We had our first camping holiday with 4 kids here and it was amazing the whole camp site was amazing such a perfect place for a quiet holiday. The play park and goats was great, the kids were all just wondering and playing as kids should do. The toilets and shower block were spotless there was a few blockages through out the first day we arrived and they got them sorted straight away.
The staff were super friendly and really helpful and the shop was great a lot cheaper than a supermarker is for snacks for the kids.
We probably shouldn’t of gone here for our first time but had to cancel where we previously booked due to them closing because of a wild fire, but we had the best time and are glad we got to go here first, it was so good it’s going to be hard to beat 😂
WiFi was good for evenings kids could use tablets. we had a hard standing and grass pitch so we parked right by our tent and had so much space for the kids to play to.
We will deffo be going back soon

Disliked Nothing everything was great

Local attractions

It’s the coast that draws many visitors to north Norfolk – and you’ll be in a good position here to see plenty of its hotspots. Perhaps start in Cromer (10 minutes’ drive) for the beach and a bit of crabbing from the pier, have a quiet trip to Mundesley beach (20 minutes) or go seal-spotting from Blakeney (35 minutes). The Broads National Park is another popular spot, and it will take you about half an hour to get there for scenic walks and boat trips. If you’ve brought the kids, you may like to look at outings like BeWILDerwood Norfolk (half an hour) and ROARR! dinosaur park (35 minutes) – or perhaps a ride on either the Bure Valley Railway (10 minutes) or North Norfolk Railway (20 minutes). Those of you on more grownup breaks may instead like to turn your attention to the National Trust sites at Blickling Estate (10 minutes) and Felbrigg Hall, Gardens & Estate (15 minutes), or perhaps the royals’ favourite Sandringham Estate (an hour). Walks on Marriott's Way (10 minutes) and Weavers Way (20 minutes) are also options, as is a stroll around the historic centre of Norwich (35 minutes).
