Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Lovely quirky site. I (female) with my 8 yr old daughter, felt very safe. Belinda showed me where she lived, should we need her and also said the gate is closed (Not locked) of an evening. Belinda gave us a lovely welcome and tour on arrival. Has little nooks to pitch up your tent. Useful kitchenette facilities. Wifi is barely existent lol. But we didnt come to look at phones and iPad. Himley Hall park is next door which was great for my daughter but the grounds og the site are also lovely to walk around. At night its all solar lit which is very whimsical.
Toilet and shower facilities were very clean and shower had great pressure. Will definitely return.

Primitive grass and earth tent campsite
Liked Great spot for camping. Clean toilets and shower block. Also a lovely wash area with freezer and tea and coffee making for everyone to use. Plenty to do in the surrounding area. Jess is extremely helpful. So many places to pitch up on the site, we were really happy with our shady pitch in the current heatwave. We all enjoyed toasting marshmallows too. No traffic noise just the sounds of the birds and the sound of the steam train (not all night!). Definitely will have another stop over again before camping season is over.

Express primitive grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite (no cars)
Liked Such a lovely couple. Travelled solo with my young daughter. Made to feel welcome and comfortable and safe. The pitch was massive! Tack room is a real bonus with WiFi and little shop. As is having a freshly baked pain au chocolate delivered!! Facilities were meant to be shared but a winner that we were the only ones there on the express pitch. Lovely walks too. A definite return as soon as I get a spare few days!!

Powered grass campsite
Liked Clean wash and toilet facilities. My daughter loved the park, lost her for hours to it. Helpful staff amd the field was flat. There is road noise so remember ear plugs.
If anyone is looking for things to do, recommend Belton House and Tattershall Farm. Would return again, but when we're not due severe winds and rain!!

Liked Showers and toilets were really clean. As was the wash up facilities. Onsite cafe and pizza barn are lovely. Can choose your own pitch. Will be returning soon. We made a suggestion that perhaps some outdoor heaters in the pizza barn. Would have spent more time there had it been warmer.
Disliked Nothing.

Liked e had a 1 night stop off stay on our way down south. Jen was lovely and came out to greet us on arrival. She was so helpful. We hired a pit fire and pack and our kids absolutely loved it. so peaceful and quiet. Didn't do any fishing but the lakes looked clean tidy and well kept. I'd definitely recommend 👍
