Liked Laurel Park has officially stolen our hearts and possibly raised the bar for every campsite we ever visit again. From the moment we booked, the communication was spot‑on, and when we arrived we were greeted by Lindsey, the owners which instantly made the place feel personal rather than “just another site.” They even walk you to your allocated pitch — a tiny detail that somehow makes you feel like royalty with a rucksack. And then… the real stars of the show: Mabel and Tilly, the resident chickens, strutting around like they own the place. Honestly, they probably do. We came to Yorkshire during a very emotional time, visiting Bridlington to see where my mum sadly passed away while on holiday. It was heavy, and our hearts felt full and fragile. But coming back to Laurel Park, seeing Tilly and Mabel pottering about, lifted our spirits in a way I didn’t expect. There’s something healing about two chickens living their best lives. The site is adult‑only, dog‑free, and wonderfully peaceful — though you do get the soundtrack of nearby farm animals, which just adds to the charm. The facilities? Hands down the best we’ve ever used while camping. Clean, thoughtful, and clearly cared for. And those personal touches from the owners make you feel less like a guest and more like part of their little community. We’d recommend Laurel Park to absolutely anyone. It’s a gem — the kind you almost don’t want to tell people about so it stays exactly as perfect as it is.

Liked I had a lovely stay at Court Farm. The pitch was great — and I really appreciate having an allocated spot. It can feel a little cosy if you end up with two campervans right next to you, but it didn’t take away from the beautiful view. The shower and toilet block was clean and well maintained. I really liked the keypad‑secured gate — it adds a reassuring level of security without feeling over the top. Communication was excellent from the moment of booking right through to pitch allocation and date confirmations. Overall, a great experience, and I’ll definitely be visiting again in the future.

Disliked There was a bit of queuing for the showers, which is understandable, though the site wasn’t particularly full during our stay. I imagine this could become more of an issue at peak capacity, but it wasn’t a major problem for us.
