Power optional grass RV campsite
Liked A friendly campsite. Very quiet and relaxed. Lovely owner.
Disliked Pitches were a little close together for me. Luckily the site wasn’t full whilst we were there. However if it was full it may feel a little cramp for some. Just my opinion. The loo’s and showers had codes to get in which was odd and mildly inconvenient on a self contained site. The tiered camping set up is nice but doesn’t offer much in the way of views unless you get a plot at the edge of the site.

Disliked It is very overpriced for what Is essentially a field next to a road with very basic facilities.

Liked An ok site but a bit cold in spirit. A not so warm welcome from the owner. Chastising me for missing the reception block. Easily done as it seems like the reception for for the static homes here. There is a fair bit of road noise and an electrical unit that emits a fair bit of noise to some of the pitches. Generally on ok site but well overpriced for what it delivers.

From the manager: Rich, thank you for your review. We’re glad you found the site generally okay, but we do want to address a few points to ensure the facts are correct for our future guests. Regarding your arrival, our reception is clearly signposted at the entrance, and we guide all guests there as part of our standard check‑in process. We understand you missing reception isn’t typical. Our intention was simply to direct you to get you checked in, not to chastise you. On the matter of road noise, the park is situated just off a main route, which is mentioned in our listing. But we have hundreds of campers come to our site each year who comment how peaceful and relaxing our site is, with many repeat bookings because of this. Also if you read our previous reviews, you will see that the majority of our guests comment how welcoming, peaceful and relaxing our site is. The electrical unit you mentioned has never been mentioned before. We check the touring site constantly and have never come across this problem, but we will look into this, so thank you for bringing this to our attention. As for value for money, we maintain high standards across cleanliness, facilities, and site upkeep. This is something mentioned consistently in the majority of our reviews and mentioned to us when talking to our guests. While we appreciate your perspective, most guests feel the site offers strong value for money, and we’re confident in the quality we provide. You wont find many sites offering the following for our reasonable price: * 15 level spacious hardstanding pitches, with16amp electric hook-up included with views of the beautiful countryside. * Free unlimited hot showers, en-suite style, (including a disabled-access wet room) * Modern Elsan chemical disposal and drive-over grey water grid * Covered washing-up area with hot water * Laundry room with washer and dryer (small charge) * Games room with free pool table and table football, comfy seating with TV *Free Wi-Fi across the site *Parking next to the pitch. *Awnings welcome at no extra cost *Secure site with electric gates (open 8 am–8 pm, access code provided) *Dog-friendly, with one dog included in the cost, and a large off-lead field by the river for dogs and campers to enjoy. *Easy access to the site Thank you again for sharing your thoughts. We hope your next stay elsewhere is more in line with what you’re looking for.

Field stay primitive grass and earth travel trailer campsite (large)
Liked Lovely friendly owner. Lots of space to choose a pitch.
Disliked I love a rustic no frills campsite but it was a bit of a party vibe. Lots of barking sketchy looking dogs and music.

From the manager: Sorry to hear you didn't have the best stay. We can't really inspect dogs on arrival for behaviour, but we do our best to accommodate different areas - a family field, a relaxed field, and a social field - so guests can choose the atmosphere that suits them best. might be best to try the relaxing field next time, it could suit you better.

Liked Nothing to like about this site unfortunately.
Disliked I found this site to be lacking to be honest. Closed down toilet and shower facilities and the site was very water logged making the pitches sodden and very difficult to park upon. Several motorhomes were stuck in the mud! I also became stuck as can happen on campsites. The campsite owner was very rude and seemed content to lay all the blame on me parking on the pitch! He became overly aggressive. Not really a good attitude towards helping campers out! I wouldn't recommend at all.

Bien cordialement
