Liked Nice site in a countey setting, well located for the Windmill Festival. Water tap on pitch, grey and black waste disposal on site, pretty quiet too, no road or train noise

Disliked Toilet block is neglected, no paper towels or rolls, we took it upon ourselves to give it a clean round, the site was quiet so no busy excuse will hold up

From the manager: Hi thank you for staying at Willow beck retreat. The toilet block is complimentary. It is there in case you want to use it as a CL we actually don’t need a toilet block. The only thing we get any negative reviews about is the toilet block. I don’t live on site and I’m working away from home at the moment so it is difficult to pop round all the time. Most people clean the toilet after their selves as goes for toilet roll and Hand Towels it’s a CL thank you for staying at Willow beck retreat.

Liked Another good Motorhome stay at Courtil Rose site, whilst overnighting for the trip home on the tunnel. Tony as always helpful and cheerful,we chanced it and booked in a day early giving us time to walk to Ardres along the canal, as always baguettes and croissants were ordered on arrival. Water taps and electric on the hardstanding gravel pitch

Disliked Toilet/ shower block servicable but getting ready for a refurb. Warning !! Tight turn from Rue du Canal onto rue-de watergang in a MoHo so go to next street Rue du Goudenove then 100 yards to Rue du Traversale to get onto Rue di Watergang

Liked Check in was great, forgive me I forget his name, he was so helpful, spoke great English, far far beter than my Danish it has to be said, best camp site in a long long time, clean, tidy the works! Wifi was good , site was quiet so no need to activate ye olde Starlink !

Liked Location, walkable to town, and narrow gauge railway very close, so is Tesco and Maccus, Toilet block is immaculate and 44mins to ferry terminal

Disliked Fresh water smelly , (rotten eggs) nothing wrong with it, maybe from a borehole ?

Liked The location of the site, proximity to Calais and the Tunnel. Local village Ardres isnt far to ride or walk, whefe there are shops and 2 pubs, Intermarxhe is near at Les Attaques there is great access to eurovelo cycle route 5 and the canals for cycling along to Calais. (1hr) The owner Tony speaks good English , he greets you at arrival then leads you to your pitch on his bike. Order baguettes etc from him for the next morning, 3 rd or 4th time We’ve stopped here, great for overnighter or a couple of days

Disliked The fact that the staff would not acknowledge our arrival and just sat looking at us and other new arrivals as thay were on siestaand the pool is a long way from site up a very steep bank across a very dangerous and busy mai road

La piscina è a 200 metri dall'agriturismo, siamo a conoscenza del disagio , ma non possiamo fare altrimenti. Abbiamo fatto richiesta delle strisce pedonali ma non è stato possibile.

Liked The site the facilities. The owners the pool. Everything, perhaps the beat Pitchup site we’ve been to, the hospitality and the wine tasting were. Paulo and hos family were so helpful, the facilities are brand new clean and all working, including free washer and tumble dryer, Paulos parents covered in his absence for food and winetasting, absolue stars they were, Would we return? Of course, Bus to Montepulciano 200 yards away, busy road though beware !! That is the only -ve

Disliked Busy road badly with placed bus stops to Montepullchiani and the 1km walk to old town Chiusi, but hey it’s Italy

Liked Tony, the owner, speaks good English, really laid back, we’ve stayed before and will stay again, great for a Channel Tunnel stopper, Intermarche nearby and the little town of Ardres is 20 mins walk

Liked Reception staff were great, very polite very helpful, 15 mins walk to town and the Castle / Basilica and lion etc with restaurant is a must
