Liked Loved the site so peaceful, lovely toilet/shower block looked brand new, It is a sloping site so will need ramps for your vehicle.

Liked Lovely location, quiet andtranquil site, so much space very dog friendly with a enclosed field where you can let them off the lead, facilities kept clean and tidy, lovely cafe on site eat in or take away.

Liked We were opposite the play area which was great for our son.

Disliked Was advertised as unlimited pitch but the pitch size was tiny with no more than a foot away from the neighbours tent. There was a smell of sewage drains at certain times. The rubbish bins were over flowing and the toilet and shower block were in need of a good clean a fair bit of mold in the shower block, toilet paper and soap in the dispensers ran out and not replaced untill the next evening so almost two days without soap, only two sinks in working order as taps taped up as was one of the showers. It needed more showers only 3 for the entire site and toilets to accomadate such a large site. Most tent pitches were on a slope, be prepared to slip out of bed every night. There was only one drinking water tap to service the whole site. We would not return there again.

From the manager: We are so sorry to hear that your stay was not as good as it should have been. Although the pitches with electric hook-up in the camping field are limited in width, the smallest is 7 meters wide, they are unlimited in depth. Each camping pitch can accommodate up to 6 people, if the tent size is larger than 6 an additional pitch may be required. The toilets and shower block are closed for cleaning in the morning and cleaned again in the evening during busy periods. We did have 1 or 2 soap dispensers that seized up at the same time, so although they were full, the springs were stuck and would not dispense. These have been replaced. The burst pipe under the sink and broken shower-head have been repaired. We have 7 showers, 11 toilets and 8 drinking water points. There was also a large group, in its own area, in the lower camping field during your stay and the campsite was quite busy too. We appreciate constructive criticism and most changes and improvements we make are based on customer feedback. There are plans to build an additional facilities block and more hard-standing pitches in the lower field plus six new luxury lodges in response to customer comments and reviews.
