Powered grass campervan or tent campsite
Liked Location and scenery is brilliant, literally a 10 minute walk into beddgelert village.
Disliked We booked this site as it stated on the website they accepted group bookings, there was a group of about 25 of us, adults and children, we called up prior to arrival to enquire about locations and space availability as it did not say they located you it stated that you can pick your space. We found out we were all separated which we accepted. We as a group, like to sit around a fire together and talk and have a laugh, we understand some sites don’t like this and we avoid them but this was one we found accepted groups so we thought no issues. Not one person around us complained but the staff insisted on harassing us about sound levels, no music was played by us baring in mind after 6pm. I watched the staff come on to a field and tell a group of fathers and there sons who were playing volleyball over a net to put the ball away, again no one complained as we were all enjoying watching these people play. We heard off other campers that their children were asked to not fly kites or play with balls. To advertise this place as suitable for groups and familys is complete false advertisement. They kept advising us there was a family field which was way away from the main camping areas. Ive never wrote a bad review in my life only postive as that is always my experience from camping. The staff actually made us aware they had made a mistake and had now changed there description on the webpage, bit late for us after making our experience the first negative one in years of camping in wales, such a shame as the site is in a great place. Toilets and showers not the best. Many of our group left a day early. Just wish they had advised us they only want walkers/hikers on their site as we wouldn’t of booked.
