Liked Lovely estate, plenty of walks, space
Disliked Unfortunately had very noisy people next to us, noise until late then their children started again at 6 in the morning, no thought for others. But nothing to do with owners so will go again.

Liked Tidy site
Disliked Said 40 minutes to beach, it's 40 minutes to see the beach in the distance, cant walk there as its another 5 miles. Can get a bus which is 20 minute walk from site down a road i wouldn't walk let alone take my dog, then its an hour on the bus.we saw people on the site getting taxis. Not very dog friendly, couldn't take her in shop, this is the first time we've ever had that In many years of travelling. Lots of rules particularly about dogs. Spoke to another couple with a dog they couldn't believe it either. And as for having a clubhouse its only open 2 1/2 hours in evening. Expensive site for nothing much there unless you want to book a slot at the pool.

From the manager: Sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. There are several walks to the coast, each a round trip of about 40 mins. Depending on how fast you walk. Several circuit walks of aprox 3 - 4 km 40 mins to 1 hour, And many longer walks if you love walking. Not 40 mins there and 40 mins back to view the sea,. Our nearest bus stop is a 15 - 20 walk. The less frequent bus (x53) doesn't involve walking the rural road to the park, the more regular bus from Chickerell to Weymouth is 1.5 mile walk but every 20 mins during the day. Footpath option for most of this walk rather than walking the lane. Taxis are more convenient, Swimming beaches are 5 miles away at Weymouth. Fishing beaches 5 miles away at Portland or Abbotsbury

Liked Beautiful site, vast space. Was lovely to see the deer roaming and great views. Really enjoyed having a wander after visitors had gone home felt like you had the place to yourself, lovely.

Liked Nice site just as described. The family that own it are really friendly. Nice touch with each pitch having its own picnic bench, especially as our weather was good.
Nice that the owners are giving a good price as we have noticed lots of sites are really putting them up, well done. Will stay again🙂

Liked Location was great, couple of minutes walk to the stairs leading down to beach. Staff friendly and informative. The only down side was the toilets and showers at certain times of day are quite grubby, children don't flush toilets, but saying that we understand someone can't be in there cleaning all day and as we have our own facilities it wasn't a problem as such for us

Liked Small site but very friendly. Sid was very helpful and informative about places to visit etc. Liked the fact that we all had our own toilets for each pitch, was number for your pitch, good idea. Site, shower, toilets etc., Were always clean, sid was always cleaning, cutting grass etc. Will stay again.

Liked We liked the location, right on the river, lovely walking either way. Met some really nice people, owners really nice and friendly, other campers and also spoke to narrowboat owners. Perfect location for walking our dog. Only one toilet which you can use to empty chemical toilet but that was fine with us and it was nice and clean. Can't fault the site, will definitely be returning.

From the manager: Thank you Allison. Monty's bar is proving as popular in the winter as it was in the summer months. Come again.

Liked We knew it was a basic site, no frills but really liked it. We have a motorhome so didn't really need showers and toilets but did visit them and they were nice and clean. Spoke to staff who were very friendly and helpful, (forgot to bring bread so was directed to the local shop). Most people seemed friendly to pass time of day with, would recommend.
