Kestrel clifftop FHU cement/asphalt and grass RV campsite (no awning)
Liked The view is beautiful (Kestrel pitch 5) the staff were so lovely and friendly, the pool is great for families and the games room is fabulous for a rainy day.
Disliked The drive up to the campsite is a little tight, we met two cars coming back down and had to reverse back about 500 yards, although when you get there it’s totally worth it! The toilets are limited and dated BUT are spotlessly clean and the site is building a new shower block which looks amazing 🤩

From the manager: Hi Shaun, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave your lovely review, and for scoring your stay 9/10. We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the beautiful views from Kestrel pitch 5, and that our team helped make your stay feel welcoming — it’s always great to hear such kind feedback. It’s wonderful to know your family enjoyed the pool and found the games room a good spot for a rainy day. We’re also really pleased that you appreciated the cleanliness of the park and the friendly atmosphere. Regarding the access road, you’re absolutely right that one of the lanes can feel narrow. We always recommend guests use the drive down to the holiday park, as this is the wider route with proper passing places. Some sat‑navs occasionally send visitors up the tighter lane instead, which can feel a bit challenging, but the correct route is clearly signposted and much easier. As for the facilities, thank you for noting their cleanliness. We’re currently investing in a brand‑new washroom building, which is already underway and will provide modern, upgraded facilities for future seasons. Thank you again for your lovely comments. We’re really pleased you enjoyed your stay and hope to welcome you back to Morfa Bychan Holiday Park again soon. Warm regards, The Morfa Bychan Holiday Park Team

Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked Lovely warm welcome from owners who were very friendly and gave us a lot of local knowledge about pubs, shops and attractions. The site is small and very peaceful with a stream running through and a walk along it. There is a toilet block with sinks which is clean and a washing up area, washing machine, dryer and a freezer for ice blocks. There are showers and a grid for motorhomes to dispose of grey waste. There is a village within walking distance with two lovely pubs and a Spar shop. The village of Chirk nearby has the most amazing butchers and the castle, aqueduct and Chirk tunnel are a fabulous day out with lovely scenic walks along the canal. Excellent free wifi available which was great when the downpour of rain came! The owners also courteously e mailed before we arrived to say do not use sat nav and gave the best directions to get there safely.. follow their advice, thank you for a lovely stay from Tara and Shaun x

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Location is beautiful, right next to the canal which you can walk along into the charming market town of Whitchurch which has a variety of lovely dog friendly pubs and shops for supplies. The site is very peaceful, relaxed and the owners are very friendly and helpful. The showers, toilets and washing facilities are always kept immaculately clean and are an absolute credit to the site. There is a fishing lake which is overlooked by a communal hut and BBQ area and a cafe which is open Wednesday to Sunday, the very reasonably priced breakfast is also excellent. This site is an absolute hidden gem which we came across by accident and we are so glad we did, we will be back next time we pass through the border of England to Wales. Tara and Shaun x
