Liked: Lovely Campsite, Pod was ideal for a short break for me and my 8 yr old, no stress of putting tent up. Decent size fridge and plenty of sockets, decking area with chairs and coffee table and the Pod was shaded by a tree which was very welcome in 30 degree heat. Lovely little shop open until 4pm. The toilets and showers were immaculate, 10 mins drive into a the small town of Coleford and 10 mins to Puzzlewood which did not disappoint, fire pits and logs available to hire but we took our own.
Staff and owners were very friendly and kind- waste and recycling facilities clean and tidy and kept on top of. Quite in the evenings - all round great site would definitely returnDisliked: Nothing really, would be nice if the shop was open later.

Liked: Everything! A lovely campsite with something for everyone. I enjoyed the forest walks and spacious field walks with my dog.

Liked: The cleanliness & maintenance was exceptional. Superb facilities. Well marked, good pitch size, with good privacy. A very pretty site. Walkable in to town.
We're regular campervanners and have visited dozens of sites in the last five years. This is one of the nicest sites we've been too.Disliked: Nothing!

Liked: Lovely site. Great shower block, clean and spacious. Loved the reception with proper fresh breakfast rolls, pastries and barista coffee and really friendly staff. Great situation for walking straight into woodland from site.

Liked: Great welcome. All the staff were very welcoming & friendly. The facilities were immaculate & kept clean all day. Lovely walk into Coleford town center. Wonderful take aways from Malanos & Alis fish & chips. A great location to visit alot of places nearby.
Disliked: Felt very crammed in & no privacy, we were on pitch 2 & felt very exposed as it was right near the reception & facilities, everyone would look in on us (& did) as they drove past & no privacy between us, pitch 3 & the bell tent. The "shop" wasn't as stocked as we had hoped for, no bread or eggs, which was abit disappointing. But luckily coleford was only a 5 minute drive away. The cost of the bacon baps was expensive, with only 3 rashers of bacon, that was very dry & salty.
Thank you for your feedback. It was great to hear the positives about our site and good to hear what you did not like as that will help us make evaluate ourselves and the service we provide.
I really am sorry to hear that you did not like your pitch - it is one of our most popular pitches as a lot of our guests like to be nearer to the facilities. I do wish you had let us know that you did not like it when you arrived and we would have moved you to a different pitch quite happily. We do aim to please.
We no longer sell bread and eggs as we are a small site and it is not commercially viable for us to stock perishable items - historically we have thrown out more that we have sold and with Lidl just a mile away, most guests have found it easier to get fresh supplies locally. Our shop really is just a small scale cafe offering refreshments, drinks and snacks and camping essentials that often get left behind - sadly we are not large enough for general groceries.
I am also sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your bacon bap. We don't add salt so I am afraid it is as it comes from the supplier.
We really do try and please everyone and am very pleased that although you don't want to return, you would recommend us.
If you do decide to give us another try, please do call us and let us know which pitch you would like - we have a lot of guests that ring and book specific pitches.

Liked: This is a really lovely site - clean, quiet, loads of space, great facilities, playgrounds and lovely staff. Perfect for families and groups with kids. Playground area was good too.
