Everything very nice pretty quiet site ,facilities some of the best we've seen, easy check in

Everything was thought about to make your stay perfect. Hosts very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Location is great with just a short walk to the lovely town of Coleford. Shower block was immaculate, washing up area great, lots of hot water and even a bowl provided. Sausage batch was delicious. Very peaceful and quiet.

Fantastic site with great facilities. Short drive away from the Cannop bike park, so perfect for us. Good clean toilets and showers and great little place to get breakfast and coffee in the morning.

Numbered pitches with a decent amount of space between. Toilets were amazing, felt really posh and kept clean. There's a laundrette and washing up area on site, but we didn't use either this time. Lovely little shop which also sells hot food and drinks for a really decent price.
Big area set aside for kids to play in, away from any vehicles and pitches.
Great location for the forest of Dean and surrounding areas.

Kids play frame was broken, advertised a play ground but was just one square piece of equipment that you couldn't use one side of as the main rope was missing. Nothing suitable for younger kids apart from a playhouse outside the shop. Would have been better to just have it as a playing field.

We stayed during some bad weather (constant rain & wind), asked for a later leave time due to needing to have a dry tent and dry our groundsheet and they were more than accommodating. The staff were lovely and friendly, we had to move our trip a week later due to illness and once again hugely accommodating of this and was absolutely no hassle, along with our vehicle registration change.

First night the whole side had a power cut due to external factors and it was handled really well, someone came round each pitch to inform all guests and kept everyone as up to date as possible, emergency/security lights in the toilets were luckily on a separate circuit so you could still use the facilities as normal. Unfortunately the motion censored lights by the washing up weren't.

The location of the site is great. Right by Coleford, the Lidl was a 5 minute drive and the cycle centre was a 10 minute drive if that's what you're into.

Will definitely be retuning!

The only thing I would say that would be a downside is that there are no lights around the open areas of the site so walking to the facilities block when its dark isn't greta so definitely take lights with you.
