Can walk direct from site into coleford, happened to be there when the music festival was on… great bands and amazing atmosphere.

Disliked: Poor communication, we arrived after reception was shut so didn't know which pitch we were on. I did mention to a staff member that an email would be nice advising us of our pitch when arriving after hours and was told 'we can't do it all' !! We did find out there was a note on the reception door but I didn't see it and if we'd arrived after dusk, certainly wouldn't have spotted it. Despite the fact we'd booked an electric pitch, we couldn't get the electric to work, eventually another camper told us you have to scan the QR code on the box and create an account. Again if we'd arrived after dusk or no-one had been around, we would have been stuck. All this information is crucial on arrival and could easily be sent out in an email. There was a staff member on site when we arrived, but he offered no assistance, despite seeing we were a bit confused!
Small, clean and friendly site. No complaints, would recommend.

Liked: Everything! We have stayed a couple of times now, and we absolutely love it. We have already booked up for next year. Helpful friendly staff, clean and tidy site great facilities, near to Symonds Yat, Pedal-a-bikeaway and stunning forest walks. Would highly recommend.

As a small, family-run site, we’ve successfully used this method of leaving pitch details for arrivals after reception has closed for many years. However, your comments have made it clear that improvements are needed, particularly now that we have added things like metered electric. Late arrivals don’t need the app, as the hook-ups are always set up in advance for them, but we can see that this wasn’t communicated clearly enough.
I’m so pleased you gave us 10/10 for cleanliness, location, facilities, and value for money, but it’s clear we failed on customer service this time. I’m very grateful for your feedback, which we will use to improve, and we sincerely hope you’ll consider returning so we can give you the smooth experience you expected.
