- Private gated park 45 minutes' drive from New Orleans
- Pool, hot tub, regular events and clubhouse with games and log fire
- Stocked ponds for fishing and nature trails for walking
Comfort all around – with your body too – is the aim of the game at friendly and relaxed Indian Hills Nudist Park, in Louisiana 45 minutes from New Orleans.
The grounds are private and gated so that all guests can feel comfortable and secure if getting naked (and most areas of the resort are clothing optional). There's an active vibe around the park too, evident in the organised activities and events of all shapes and sizes including singing and dancing sessions every Friday and Saturday night along with regularly arranged games and contests.
Guests also spend a good bit of time having dips in the heated pool and hot tub, or lying around the pool soaking up the sun (with over 80 loungers to pick from, you'll surely snag a good spot). Nature trails and two fishing ponds are also around for peaceful times; indoors, the well-equipped clubhouse has games, toys and a log fire.
You don't have to grin and bare it at all times if you're feeling a tad shy here either; although nudity is compulsory around the pool, hot tub and clubhouse, guests less accustomed to having their kit off in public can keep a towel or robe around them until they feel ready to bare all.

Local attractions
This is a peaceful and remote part of Louisiana, yet within 45 minutes' drive of the vibrant Creole city of New Orleans, via a scenic drive through Louisiana swamps and across spectacular Lake Pontchartrain.
Before or after you hit the city, the Indian Hills team recommends picking your own blueberries with an amble around Blue Harvest Farms, an organic farm 35 minutes' drive away, or making for Louisiana River Adventure within a 50-minute drive, to see Louisiana wilderness up close and try outdoor activities such as tubing, kayaking, canoeing and horse riding.
And then onto the splendid city of New Orleans, Louisiana's biggest and among the top ten most visited cities in the USA: reach it from Indian Hills by the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway, the longest straight bridge over water in the world, spanning more than 125,000 acres of wetland.
New Orleans is known worldwide for its French Quarter, its 19th-century mansions, its cuisine, its many festivals including the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival/ Jazz Fest, and the scenic Mississippi River rides on the Natchez steamboat… you'll need several days in town at least.
As it's set on the banks of the Mississippi, nature and wildlife are a strong theme of the city too: check out the locals at the Audubon Nature Institute and at public gardens including the New Orleans Botanical Garden. City Park, one of the biggest urban parks in the country.
